@benzey & rqv5,
i think it has a lot to do with your major. I had similar stats but i got in pretty early on as a polysci major..
so see if you can appeal for another major?

^ Appealing to another major doesn't work, I think they put that in their appeals page.

IF you appeal, appeal fast and don't wait for the deadline, I sent mine right on the deadline and I failed.

Well, I'm psyched about UCI, I've been waiting one FULL year to go... lol. I got rejected last year, so I feel all you guys' pain!

what was your major

TommyBarsett: Sorry to hear of your rejection! Good luck with the appeal! Hope you have other UC admits as fallback.

Wow this is crazy how people got rejected with such high GPAs and high Scores! O_O

But possibly this means that UCI is not only about Academics, maybe your ECs weren't as strong. Or your essay was weak.

That's only some explanations to the high scored people getting rejected

And i'm sorry to hear some of you got rejected ):

F*** UCI. I got rejected.

i put biomedical engineering too but not premed.

Wow WCF...amazed you didnt get it.

Karminai, similar stats

3.7 UC gpa + 2130 sat rejected. Oh well, I was preparing for it so, it didnt hurt so bad.

Also got rejected.
Academics: 3.5GPA/2040SAT, not as good as most of you. I think applying as an Engineering major killed my chances. Got into UC Davis, UC Riverside, and CPP. UCR accepted me into their Honor's Program and a scholarship. So strange, I really like UCI. 0<
