Offically Rejected

er..rejected

Rejected-

SAT: 2080
SAT II: 740/710
AP: two 4's, one 5
GPA: 3.6
EC: founder of keyclub, dance, volunteer, choir, etc...
Major:undecided/biological scienes
out of state.
got into ucsd
Oh, well..wouldn't have gone

^ you're too good for UCI

go to UCSD

F UCI

lol, (I love UCI but if they reject u, then whatever man, there's places for ya, and u got UCSD!)

Rejected.
1770 SAT, 3.3 UC GPA.
Oh well haha, I wouldn't have gone anyway.
I got accepted to Pepperdine :]

2150 SAT1
800/760 Math2/Chemistry
3.8 Weighted UC-GPA
5/5/4 APs

At least UCSD picked up all the slack that UCI left in credibility

Rejected.

3.8 UC GPA
4.0 Weighted GPA
2120 SAT I
750 World History
710 Literature

Political Science major.

Irvine really dislikes the 3.7/3.8 GPAs don't they?

UCSD it is, i guess!

Wow you all have really good stats. Don’t worry about UCI, with those numbers, I’m sure you can get into a lot of good schools. Yah, the UC system seems really, really skewed this year with their admits.

“I wouldn’t have gone anyway” is probably the reason they rejected you guys -_-

LA and Irvine has been my schools of choice since the 8th grade. Sadly, I got rejected by both. Oh well, at least I got into UCSD. :)

I feel so sorry for you guys. I got accepted but you all had far better scores and had many ECs, than I did.
My SATs: 670 math, 470 writing, 430 CR
satII: mathII 650 bio M 600
Last minite ECs (during senior year): school tutor, academic deathlon, 150 hr hospital volunteer.
major: bio sci

I noticed that ppl who got dissed by irvine got in the ucla and ucsd. Just to make you guys feel happy, i didnt get in of those schools. But Irvine was my top. :D

^
another example of how flawed uc admissions are, no offense

nontakin I started to noticed how weird UCI is going over acceptances as i read over the decision thread. I had a friend last year that had similar situation with you guys. decent SATs, lots of APs, ECs, good grades and UCI her top and BAM -> DENIED.
btw MY AP scores were comp sci: 2, US his: 2, bio: 3
preety low…

Maybe they all knew you guys would get into UCSD, and UCLA. So they were like “hey lets give others a chance”

had no interested in uci at all & I got rejected. Only apply because proximity, my mom wanted me to stay close to home. -____-
but i got into davis,sb, and ucsd. It true, you will end up were you were meant to go.

^
I concur.

I really really reaaaally thought I was going to get rejected by UCI too.

SATI: 1480
UW GPA: 3.86
SATII: 520 (Lit), 460 (US Hist)
ECs: Swim, 3 years in Tennis, Key Club, Secretary of NHS, Red Cross, Club

I applied to Irvine too with a Nursing major but the science school rejected me but UCI admitted me with an undeclared major.

I wish I took my chance and applied to SD as well anywho ;(

Wow well I’m not surprised you didnt get into nursing with that SAT score, I’m surprised you got accepted at all. If getting a 1480 was really the best you could then you are going to shocked when you get to college (I’m just saying this because I dont think 1480 is the best you can do based on your GPA).

Well for one, I do all my homework and study for my tests (with the exception of the SAT), which explains my high GPA. I know 1480 isn’t the best I could do but what’s done is done. A friend of mine got into UCI last year with a 1520 SATI and a 3.9 GPA but he passed all of his AP tests. It’s so wonderful how people assume that SAT scores are the main basis of one’s “intellectual” ability, maybe it is, maybe it is not. Just my two cents.

seeing people getting in with worst scores than me makes me sad

i mean 14xx sat? come on… thats basically getting 600 on two sections and leaving the other one completely blank…(which u still get 200 pts i think)

**** uci

the only reason people r getting rejected w/ unbelievable stats is b/c regents know that ur better than uci. theyre trying to save money by reducing acceptance letters to those they expect r not going to go there.

^, what if the applicant’s dream school was to to UCI since middle school? I disagree that schools reject applicants because they think the applicants are overqualified.

^ True
I totally am One of those people

IDK

for UCI you’re just a number
