Did anyone notice that one of the questions had a grammatical error in a part of the sentence that wasn't underlined?

lol dressage i felt that way for one of the questions.. I was like "I wish that was a choice." I wrote my essay on Conformity bad with Stalin Communism and Hitler's regime. Individualism is good.

mistaippa i got a lot of D's in the first few sections as well. Good, I feel better now haha.

altairaqua, wtf man
"For my essay, I used Ayn Rand's books (Anthem, The Fountainhead) and argued that individual needs must sometimes be placed against those of the community."

The Fountainhead was one of my examples dude. . .wow. We rule. Tis my favorite book.

Morningtheft, I also don't recognize many questions people have posted here. I didn't have the questions with "purport," WBA, or many others. We simply had a different test.

Perfecttdark (BTW, you remind me of another person with the name Perfectdark. Or are you the same girl?), you type the first question wrong.

"Chrome-benzene steel, due to its molecular structure, can tolerate intense heat that will melt any one of its three elements when they are not combined."

In the place of "will" was "would." I marked "would" as the answer. Anyone with perfect grammar correct me if I'm wrong.

For the second one, "A widely devious group of students from all over the world " I chose "widely devious" because the words are redundant.

"Gases become exetremely rarified at heights more than six miles, causing propeller planes to stop functioning." I chose E for this one. I didn't see the "more than" error. Are you guys sure about that?

For your last question, is it the sentence about the first jazz soloist? I put E for that one.

dressagechick: LoL... I didn't see any. There aren't supposed to be any errors in the un-underlined parts, are there?

I had about 7-8 Es for both sentence-error sections. I didn't really pay attention to the number of Ds though. I remember the first three answers (number 1, 2, and 3) were B, A, C. Anyone got the same?

can one use intelligent to describe a book? i think i got that one wrong
there was a sentence error correction question about scott fitzerald that dealt with illogical comparisons. i put dwon the choice "the clarity of logic in Scott F. Fitz writing was more clear than that of in the works of other novelists.
the less complex one seemed to compare the clarity of logic in writing to other novelists, which i think would be illogical unless i'm over analyzing

I left 5 blanks, and guessed about 5 questons, o_o. (English isn't my first language) But I feel i did relatively well--well in the terms that it sorta fit me, lol.
The writing seems easy enough although I barely finished writing down my last train of thoughts. I basically exaggerated my personal situation to fit in with the "need of the individual vs. community, etc."

Yeah, i thought "widely devious" was weird.
Is that wrong?

"widely devious"

devious is definitely wrong. it complete ruins the meaning of the sentence, I think.

also, I think it's safe to say that there were two version of the test since a lot of pple are saying that they don't recognize some questions. has this happened before?

There had to be two different tests... the only question I recognize here is the "widely devious" one, and my essay was completely different than everyone else's.

there were 2 question on "had begun"
and 2 on " as _____ as" with adverbs vs verbs.... i doubt both of them were the same??

hey guys don't you have like.....watches? i mean you should kno sometimes the proctors could be wierd.... keep track of time..... i don't ever wear a watch but i AT LEAST wear one to the SAT!!! lol

Yea... Devious isn't the right word there... I put "heights more than" was wrong, too. I wrote about my basketball team, too! My essay was all one paragraph, though, hope they do not butcher me for that. At least my grammar is all right. Lol.

ivyleaguechamp - I skipped 10 questions too because there was no more time. :( I should've spent more time on the MC than the essay but I thought we had a time limit for each.

Does anyone remember the question with something like "neither (name) nor (name)" in it?

Are there different versions of the test?

I don't remember the Martin Luther King Jr. question, the WNBA question, or the paper question.

gloure, I remember that question... about Eileen and another girl, right? I'm almost positive it was a correct sentence.

if you all agree the MC was harder than previous tests, do you think the MC curve will be a bit more generous? I think I heard before from previous threads that 5 wrong on MC can still get you an 800 on the MC subscore, or something like that.. will it be 6 or 7 wrong this time? crosses fingers

i think instead of devious, the right word is diverse. i can see why they would put that there because they look and sound similiar

astrid_asteroid - I can't remember their names but I do remember they were both girls. Darn.. I can't remember what I put. Does anyone remember the question?
