I thought the essay was pretty solid, showed some personality.
Maybe something which brought me down was poor midterm grades for my first trimester, with two B+, one of which I brought up to an A, the other to an A-. Frustratingly I got my final, much improved, trimester grades right before they mailed decisions so I could not send them in.
Hopefully they will consider me come regular decision time...</p>
