Sorry, ddjones, you were right. I wanted to make sure so my mom called and that's what they told her as well. This sucks... I want to know!

Hey, everyone! I just joined; a bunch of people were talking about this at school so I decided to check it out. I applied Early Action to Notre Dame and am anxiously awaiting a letter. Please let me know what you all think my chances are, and I also would appreciate being added to the prayer list. Thanks!

fjoekjui- did you get a letter today?

Well he lives in Indiana, so maybe they mailed them yesterday? AHHH! That means I'll probably get mine tomorrow!

wait a sec?? does this mean that there is a chance they mailed em before tomorrow?!?!?! I would give nething to know tomorrow!! I can't wait til Monday or Tuesday!!!

fjoekjui you better not be playing games with our hearts.

Don't get too excited! If you read the post closely, he is a "faculty brat", which means one of his parents is an ND professor... The decisions are made, it's the postal service we are waiting on now. If I were a professor on the campus and knew anybody whatsever in admissions (which I'm sure I would), I would get that information as soon as it is known.

For the rest of us, that don't have someone inside in a position to know and tell us, we're going to have to wait for the US Postal Service. Until the Dec. 18 date, at which point, we are invited to call... We will wait this weekend, most likely by design. If they get the mailing out tomorrow morning, when the rest of the admissions office personnel are gone--most likely exhausted from having gone through the enormous volume of applications and produced the mailing--they can have a few days off before fielding all the inquiries from people who want to know, and, even more, the angry and desperate phone calls from the people who don't like the answers they get...particularly contributors. Lots of Type A's involved in this scenario.

Now that I recall it, the mailing went out on a Friday/Saturday two years ago when my son applied EA. His acceptance letter came to us, in the St. Louis area, on a Tuesday. I don't remember dates, but I do remember days of the week.

In any case, the white envelope--hopefully a big one--will not be in your mailbox until Monday, unless...maybe...you live in South Bend... Even then, I kind of doubt it...

We've waiting this long. We can wait longer.

Much as it sucks to wait!

I came home after school, and there was a package from notredame wating just for me...^^ I am so excited......yeah!!!

"congratulations! On behalf of the commitee on Admissions, I am pleased to offer you a place in Notre Dame's 2007 Freshman Class!!!"
that's how the letter goes...
I will post my stat later, because i have to go somewhere^^
good luck to everyone!!

do u live in indiana?

The suspense is killing me! Congrats to those accepted
