Given what happened last year, I am sure the waitlist will be large this year and they take people off of it...well, at least I would be shocked if that wasn't the case. Keep up the faith.

Also, CK, since when have you had more posts than me? That is sick, stop that, lol!

Well, it looks as if my GPA is going to be a 4.857 this semester.
Do you think Notre Dame will consider this as something worthwhile to look at when deciding whether or not to accept me?
If so, thats all I can think of sending them. My school offers no more awards or anything between now and regular decision time :(
I'm really upset, as much as anybody else on this thread that got deferred :(
The only school that I wanted to go to deferred me to regular action.

Better than what they did to me, try to cheer up as much as you can, you are still in this :). Having good grades definitely will help you, especially since probably some of those who are deferred are having problems with senioritis.

You still have a shot, I bet more people than normal got deferred this year just because of how many people came last year. Try to relax and keep praying; that is all you can do other than sending in your grades. Good luck!

Jubilee I am sorry you didn't get in but if ou really want to go there Irish will help you. If you come to love your second choice school that that's where yo are meant to be. Wil keep praying or you

Finbar try the ACT's one time and see how you do and retake the SAT's in Jan and study for them and definately send them you new GPA but also think harder about other info you might send them after shcool stuff job rack your brain Good luck and you remain in my prayers

We'll be praying for you and all of those who haven't yet heard, as well as those who heard and weren't all that happy with the news.

Also would be a good idea to pray for those who were accepted, who now face another significant hurdle--figuring out how to pay for it! In our case, we as parents are committed to doing whatever it takes, debtwise and otherwise, to make this happen for our daughter. Some have had their dreams come true, but have lots of convincing to do...

Let me echo dd's comments. We will continue to pray for those still waiting. It is so very hard to wait... We too had great news yesterday, and then ran off to Mass with a new intention...please help us PAY for this!!!

All good thoughts to all of you that will get your news tomorrow or the next day~we truly hope it will be "golden" for you!

And, thanks again, to everyone that was so supportive during this process...Irish, ddjones, shellzie and others...you all helped me, a first time parent, with this college thing tremendously! And finally, thank you to the students who lit those candles...never underestimate the power of the Grotto!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow's mail- I think I got the money part figured out IF I get in. ROTC-Uncle Sam will get me through college.
