<p>yea i received my postcard in the mail on saturday. yay! 1 month till early decisions come out, and another month till intel comes out.</p>

<p>received mine two days ago. a friend didn't get one but was notified of a missing signature (which they let him send back in, apparently). Not sure about your situation</p>

<p>The USPS website said that it was delivered to the appropriate place, at the appropriate time. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow (actually today, the 25th). Although I don't live too far from DC (upstate NY).</p>

<p>i got the postcard but i have absolutely no hope to win...im just completely unsatisfied with how my project turned out. so i guess im just glad to have finished something, though i really wish it had gone better. good luck to all of you all anyways.</p>
<p>It's been a while. I guess the semifinalist announcement will be on the 11th of January. Two weeks... I'd be interested to hear about some more projects.</p>
<p>i wish I could have done intel- the stupid live vertebrate restrictions stopped me from applying (which in hindight probably wasn't too smart of an idea--even if i applied i might have had some chance). I'm not too mad though, cause I just got a letter in the mail two days ago saying I'm a finalist for the american academy of neuroscience research prize! woooooooop. they only pick 10 finalists out of everyone nationwide. i know this isn't too prestigious, but it's my first research award! i have to prepare for two phone interviews now! ahhh. it's also kind of lame that only the top 4 kids after this round get $$. the top 3 go to CA</p>

<p>Yeah, I applied. I think my advisor said that my project had an okay chance at finalist, but I think my paper sucks.</p>
<p>My project is about laser-based fusion. I wrote a program that models the formation of a cryogenic target (basically a thin spherical shell of solid deuterium) and determined the viability of some new target design.</p>
<p>Out of curiosity, how are you guys notified?</p>

<p>You guys should also enter the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. It's just like isef, but with a power point presentation.</p>
