Anyone receive their Fin Aid package yet? How do they look?

Got mine this morning. Comes in a fairly large envelope with papers inside telling you about scholarships you've won and financial aid recieved.

Any details? How is everyone faring with merit and need-based assistance? I hope they are generous. I need them to come through big time.

$5,000 Dean's Scholarship

Ehh.mine's ok. I got 20k Rochester National Grant, and then 7k in like work study and loans, although i need more money. idk if they give scholarships out later or w/e --this is through EDII

i got a 10k IB scholarship.. and then a 1.1k grant (that's it?), a small loan and a small work study for a total of about 14k. but i'm thinking of trying to negotiate with them if i have a better packet somewhere else

i got a dean's scholarship of 8000 dollars which is pretty rad.

I got 8,000 Deans + 12,000 Rochester schol + federal grants/loans + work study = $39,000

Got 6,000 Dean scholarship not bad b/c I wont get any need based aid

10K wilder trustee scholarship, 21K rochester ntl grant, 6K workstudy + loans = 37.5K

WHy is Rochester so damn expensive?! Can someone explain that to me?

I got 8000 Dean's, 21700 Grant, 2700 Federal Pell, some work study and some loans for a total of 39.5 K. I am pretty happy with that but I got a better offer from the other school I have heard from so far.

bklyn2cornell, does your scholarship get renewed every year or is that for all four years?

thats for 1 year only

wow.. ppl are getting so much aid... i want more than my measely 14k.. and def. more than 4k need based.

yeah my package was around 15k, 6k for Kodak Award, and 2k in Rochchester grants, the rest loans and work study. But I added correction to my fafsa so that package will most likely decrease dramatically to around 8-10k. Man it sucks being me.
