Mine is up but I don't want to check :(

I got deferred.

I guess it's not a bad thing, but it's not good either...

<~~deferred. :(

Congratulations azheng89.

I hate that I have to wait until April now... Waiting sucks...

good luck to you!!

rutgers here i come!

darkhobo22 - Seems kind of surprising that you didn't get in. Excellent SAT's and GPA. Good luck at Rutgers.

Yeah, I'm surprised as well.

Sorry to hear that - but in a way, at least the waiting for you is done. Us defers still gotta wait and we might just get rejected as regular applicants..

Does anyone know any stats on how many applicants get deferred and how many make it in?

PS: Were you at first deferred then your status changed? Or were you making a guess then you checked?

it was a guess, but i'm just so taken back by all of this.

I would be too, trust me.

Sorry to hear you didn't get in, but always remember that Tufts is EXTREMELY competitive and each year more people apply and the admissions people get more "strict". I know it was your first choice and all, but don't beat yourself up over it. I'm sure you will end up in a very good university in the long run and you will be very happy there.

Best of luck.

congrats azheng! lol, you and I had the same math and verbal scores ;-)

don't worry darkhobo, I'm from NJ and a ton of people I know go to Rutgers, and they all say it's much better than most people think, and the academics tend to be pretty challenging. Good luck!

I got in too!!!
just saw it like an hour ago. pretty awsome.
sorry to everyone who didn't btw. good luck with everything else!

Those of you got in and didn't get in should all post your stats to help others!

Speaking of stats, 120 of 412 ED R2 applicants (29%) were accepted for an overall ED total of 431 Jumbos out of 1230 applications (35%).

where'd you get those stats?

yes, where did you get those stats? can you post full stats for both ED I and ED II?

How many got deferred/rejected?

Anyway here are my stats (I got deferred):
1330/1990 SAT
800, 700, 570 SAT II
AP Scholar with distinction
National Hispanic Scholar
4.833 (w) GPA
~3.6 (uw) GPA
Lots of sports and extracurriculars and community service

Why I think I got deferred: I honestly didn't think I would get in, as my credentials are nowhere near close to most other people who applied, but I think my essays were excellent and my recommendation letters as well. Oh and not to mention I'm 100% Mexican, so I guess that helped.
