I dunno??? anyone else care to call them? Im at work so its hard for me to press them soo much to get more info :)

Yeah Reaper, Knight makes a good point. Hmmmmm Who knows. I’m not going to call them though. Don’t wanna make em mad;)

A close friend in my English class today had our professor call UCB Admissions. (She helped her with her appeal letter, and I thought it was very strong).

Anyways, the Admissions officer said that some decisions have already been made and some are still in progress. Still, they need to be updated on the myBerkeleyapp because they don’t want to make any mistakes with this. Although they are trying their hardest, you all have to keep in mind that several readers in the Appeal Committee read one appeal, and that’s why it’s taking so long, so sometimes they might take longer than June 1st.

&& my friend made her ask if there actually is the whole “stages” thing to the appeal process and the admission officer said “somewhat, depending on the corresponding school”. For example, it make take longer for Letters&Sciences then lets say CNR.

I hope this helped, and just keep in mind if it’s not up by June 1st, that does not automatically mean acceptance, the admission officer stressed that, LOL.

Good luck you guys…[:

P.S.-Just to add, the “stages/phases” thing…it does not mean because your decision wasn’t made the same day so-and-so was denied then you have “moved” on, lol. They’re just taking longer, or they might have just not put up your decision. It’s the IT computer people who do all that. [:

sakurax, Thanks for the great info. Its so nice that we have this post where we can all share such info. Well I guess we will see what happens!!!

After careful re-evaluation of your application, we regret that we are unable to grant your appeal for admission as enrollment spaces for fall are extremely limited. Please note that appeals are now closed and any supplemental information will not be considered. We wish you the best in your future college plans.
