<p>Why is everyone posting when many of the admissions decisions are still pending?</p>
<p>This thread is already partially ruined because everyone who will have to post again will make this board very cluttered indeed.</p>
<p>When people come back to this to figure out their “chances,” many of them will only be looking for who got admitted to UCLA and UC Berkeley, and their respective stats.</p>
<p>I propose a UCLA and Cal admit thread where all those admitted to UCLA and Cal post their stats.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the main reason college confidential even exists is because of highly selective colleges and universities, and the ambiguous nature of their admissions decisions.</p>
<p>Why didn’t I apply to UCLA?</p>
<p>I could only apply to four UCs with my fee waiver…and I didn’t feel like UCLA was an important one…LOL.</p>
<p>I applied to UCLA when I was a Senior in high school and got accepted, but due to personal issues at the time, I didn’t go (and no, I don’t regret it…LOL). I regretted not applying to Berkeley…I made the mistake of applying to Merced. ]: On the plus side, it saved me and my family a tons of $$! [:</p>
<p>Why I didn’t apply to UCLA:</p>
<p>I had the choice of choosing to take either UCLA pre-reqs or USC pre-reqs this semester, and due to my really tight schedule, I was only able to take one school’s pre-reqs. I chose USC because 1) if I stay in LA, I’d be able to visit home more easily/frequently from USC; and 2) the financial aid at USC is exponentially better than UCLA’s. Plus I’m a USC fan and work at USC, so the choice was pretty simple. Go Trojans! :D</p>
