Official 2010 ap scores

One more score came in; still waiting on two more.

Calculus AB - 5
Chemistry - 5

I got a 4 on the world history exam  just came in the mail! This was my first ap test and I had no idea what to expect, so I am pretty proud of this score!

Previous years:
Psych: 5
USH: 5
World History: 3
English Lit: 3
This year:
Microecon: 4
Statistics: 4
Macroecon: 3

I expected the 4’s on the Micro and stats, but still, super happy about the 4 on stat!!!
UChicago (where I’m going) only gives credit for economics for 4’s or higher on both Micro and macro…the 3 on macro means no credit for either, which means wasted $168. :(

Happy overall though!!!
Two 5’s, two 4’s, and three 3’s over the course of my high school career. Not too shabby. :)

APUSH 4
AP Psych 4
AP Lit 3

This year:
AP Chem: 5
AP French: 5
AP Comp. Gov.: 5
IB Chem SL: Lost login info, expecting a 6
IB French SL: Same, shooting for a 7

Sophomore:
APUSH: 5

Junior Year:
European History 5
US History 5
Calculus BC 5
-AB 5
Physics B 4
English Language and Composition 4
Statistics 5

Sophomore Year:
Chemistry 5
Calculus AB 5
World History 5

Self studies (Calculus AB, Calculus BC, and European History) were successful, but English and Physics B was somewhat disappointing. :(

I will seek redemption by hopefully getting a 5 on AP English Literature and one of the AP Physics C exams (both of which I will self-study).

^Did you self study Calc while taking Pre-Calc?

^Yes, I self-studied Calculus AB while taking Honors Precalculus.

Psychology (self-studied): 5
Human Geography (self-studied): 5
English Literature: 5
English Language: 4
Comparative Government and Politics (self-studied): 4

I’m pretty surprised, considering that I know absolutely no geography (really, I thought New Zealand was up by Canada until a few weeks ago), and since my two 4s were retakes. I guess I’ll just never get politics. :D

Would you say this is a good idea? I mean obviously you did well, seeing as you got a 5, but would you recommend doing this? I’m considering doing this (self-studying Calc AB/BC) next year, as a Junior while taking Honors Precalculus.

Hmm, I don’t really know. When I became sophomore, I have already self-studied Precalculus, so I was already experienced enough to self-study Calculus on my own. Moreover, it was somewhat of a difficulty since I needed to learn how to analyze graphs, and as a result, I requested the help of my friend who was taking the Calculus AB class.

Well, if you plan to, make sure you know trigonometry and learn the materials from a good textbook (my recommendation is Calculus by Larson). Moreover, ask some other CCers since I know they have some excellent resources that would help you on some of the more difficult topics. An excellent review book is Princeton Review, and if you want practice tests that would over-prepare you, D&S Marketing, which I used when I was studying Calculus AB. If you obtain the book and see that you score low on the practice tests, do not worry about that since the tests on there can be difficult.

^Ok, thanks for the advice!

USH 5
World 4
Macro 4
Spanish 3

AP Japanese: 5

I’m sort of surprised that I got this score, even though I’m a native speaker (I though I did bad on the free response).

Junior year
US History: 5
Calc AB: 5

Senior year
US Gov: 4
Micro Econ: 5
Calc BC: 5
Physics B: 5 (I was the guy leading Kironide’s AIM chatroom)

I guess I don’t know that much about my government :x

@LightSource

I self-studied Calculus while taking Algebra 2, although I didn’t take the AP test. If you’re good at Algebra, then Calculus shouldn’t be much harder.

Freshman Year:
World History - 5
Computer Science A - 5

Sophomore Year:
US History - 5
English Language - 4
Calculus AB - 5

Junior Year (This Year):
Biology - 5
English Literature - 4
Environmental Science - 5
US Government and Politics - 5

Sophomore Year
World History: 4

Junior Year
Calculus AB: 4 (kind of a surprise)
US History: 4 (Thank AMSCO and my teacher)
Chemistry: 5
Eng. Lang: 3

Scores came in the mail early this year o_O They usually don’t come for another week or so.

Anyway…

Eng Lit: 4
US Govt: 4
Physics B: 1 (Haha. I was expecting this. I drew stick figures)

I’m satisfied :)

10th Grade:
European History- 5

11th Grade:
US History- 5
English Lang- 4
Psych- 5
