How was the curve for AP Chemistry? Would you say the curve was the same, harsher, or nicer this time? That test is so random with its curve, unlike the others. Well, all of them are random, especially chem. I would think it was harsher since many people on CC are saying it was easier compared to other years. What do you think?

JUNIOR YEAR (waited by mail)
AP English Lang: 4
APUSH: 5

Very content w/ my scores, as I predicted (: Although I feel that everybody here in this thread has gotten a 5 on AP English Lang :/…did you all think it was easy? I thought the MC was on the easy side but essays were a little hard…my essays were a huge failure but oh well!! APs are forever done for the year and its midway thru summer…enjoy it!!!

My whole AP Exam Report since sophomore year

Sophomore:
AP World History: 3 (horrible teacher, zero period, never showed up to class, also 44 absences)

AP Art History: 5 (expected)
AP English Language: 5 (I’ve written plays before so this one was also expected)
AP Calculus AB: 5 (easy exam)

AP U.S History: 5 (studied last week before exam, had a great teacher!)
AP Micro: 5
AP Macro: 5 (the reason for these 2 5’s is because I took a principle of macroeconomics course at a community college and from then on I studied a mcgraw hill review book and received my 5’s)

Senior:
AP Studio Art (3-D) (AP Photo): 5 (so happy)

I was awarded National AP Scholar beginning of my senior year and my gpa was perfect except I got one C in world history. I was captain of the national science bowl and etc. Tennis Varsity captain. I had everything all planned out and it seemed to work quite well. SAT Score: 2310
And I applied to all the Ivy League’s and Harvard, Yale, and Princeton rejected me, but Columbia didn’t!! And now I’m happy because I’ve been dreaming of going to Columbia since AVID in 7th grade. Well, there you go…farewell and good luck incoming seniors!

Best of luck to everyone just starting to take/continuing to take AP tests - I really believe that, although they’re scores on paper, they’re also strong indicators of how much you challenge yourself.

Although we must consider the bias from both our statements due to our strong results in AP exams, I agree anima sana. A 5 shows intelligence and hard-work (sometimes a little more one then the other). For many students, me included, the only possible way for me to challenge myself in school was to take the hardest classes possible (AP and then the local uni) and do well in them.
