^^Can it get worse than being a white guy from the suburbs of Boston?

General Comments: It's been worth the wait, good luck eveyrone, maybe see you next year!

"From what I hear SJones, you can actually mail their office of admissions with the amount you recieved from URochester in a process known as 'fishing'. If the two schools are relatively similar in prestige, showing them a drastic difference in Financial Aid packages from other places could get them to increase what they can offer you.

However, it could also result in not getting anything, but whats to lose if you think at the moment you wouldn 't go there anyhow?"

That's true... I have heard of this process before, but never thought to apply it to myself. Of course, I'm sort of bitter as well. I think I would rather just pick the school that showed interest in having me attend.

I got barely any financial aid, but 4 years housing. Did this happen to anyone else?

the two arent related. 4 years of housing are given to the top 15% of applicants, and financial aid depends on your financial situation

thanks whf800!

no problem nysenior2, and congrats on your acceptance

Christ.... anxious in upstate NY. I just got waitlisted at Wash U today.... if BC rejects me I'm gonna go ****in' firebombing.

Hi all! First off, congrats on all your acceptances!! Secondly, I am just putting out a warning as you begin to fill out your housing intent forms and send in your deposits and whatnot...If you request to live on upper campus, take this into consideration: This year ResLife (Residential Life aka Housing) was forced to convert 4 floors in both Gonzaga and Fitzpatrick Dormitories (those are dorms on upper that are supposed to be for Freshmen) to sophomore living. This means for you guys, a lot of the housing on upper for freshmen will consist of forced triples (three people in a room for two). If you want to be guaranteed a double request Newton Campus. If you really have your heart set on living on upper just be warned that you have a very good chance of being placed in a forced triple.
I don't mean to be a downer, but I just thought I'd let you know what is happening over here because this may not be clearly stated in your welcome packets.
Good luck if you're still waiting to hear from BC! And congrats if you've already been accepted!!
: )
