<p>I got in yesterday Mid-Year. I'm a little confused because I'm not sure if that mean's I'm less qualified, and, if so, by how much.</p>
<p>Do you know if these scholarships were purely merit based or were most of them need or need/merit based?</p>

<p>yeah it just said that i was admitted to Jan 2007. only 100 ppl were admitted for spring semester and its people who are just as qualified as regular. they just want you to do something productive with your time beforehand to get more experience, you can also take classes at any other school and brandeis will evaluate it and give you credit.</p>
<p>It seems out of 90 people, there are lots of midyears (including myself) on CC now. It was a logistical class size problem. Thats what my counselor told me. we arent less qualified. There was just no room for Fall.</p>

<p>I am an international, too. We have to wait for several days maybe..</p>
<p>To eliminate some confusion, they didn't accept only 90 midyears, they want a class of 90 midyears. So they probably accepted somewhere around 200-300 (this is just speculation, I don't know the actual number) because not everyone will accept. They hope to end up with 90 midyears matriculating.</p>
