Rejected. Not like I wasn't expecting it. A 3.1 GPA is paltry regardless of the circumstance(s). I had hoped my slightly above average (for Brandeis) SAT scores and my great teacher recs would have made up for it, but eh.

lpart, would you mind to show your stats?

Waitlisted.

Great leadership, community service and other EC's.

As a student who's escaping the 'Deis this spring, I think all of you out there who got in should be commended, and those who got wait-listed or rejected shouldn't feel too bad. From what it sounds like, getting into college has become really damn hard. I got a near-full-tuition scholarship in 2002 to come here, and I think if I had to apply this year I might not even have gotten accepted, period. So pat yourselves on the back no matter what. I certainly don't rejoice that you all have it so tough, but I'm thankful my parents didn't wait four more years to have me.

it seems every college gets a record high of applicants this year. If I were born a year before or after, it would be way less competitive!

Martin, no problem! By the way do you have any idea how many people from Bulgaria are applying to Brandeis?

well, I dunno for Bulgaria, but there are around 3-4 ppl applying from Stz.

Btw, I haven't received a single letter from Brandeis, not even a letter saying that they got my application which is quite strange...

I haven't received anything from them, too. I hope that this is not a bad sign. I sent them so many e-mails asking them for any missing materials and they never answer me. Brandeis is one of my top choices and I will be really really dissappointed if I am rejected.
Are u from Stz?

yes, I'm from Stara Zagora. But let's not destroy the discussion here :))
....pm....

D rejected by regular mail received yesterday. Not a surprise, her stats are on the low end for Brandeis, no visit, and no interview. The good news is that it was low down on her list. Good luck to everyone!

i'm from Romania... I only received a letter telling me they got my file... and that was that. Does it write, anywhere on thei site, when will we get our decisions? Can we call them? And more than that... is Brandeis known for giving good financial aid packages for intels?

alwaysfaithful - brandeis has been rejecting and waitlisting a lot of people from school this year and for the past few years because their stats are so high and the other schools they applied to are so much more competative. Brandeis realized that a lot of people apply to them as a safety and have a little intention of going there.
sorry, though, good luck with the others

SATII Math - 630 Bio- 620

to each his own i guess...

I have a question. Why almost every admit has such a high stat? Even some waitlisted and rejectees aren't that bad at all, but the ranking of Brandeis doesn't show it's worth for that.

pdesai, it was definitely your sat score that brought you down
