Anyone heard back from anywhere yet? I applied to mat sci Ph.D. and have heard back from Urbana and from Michigan. Anyone out there heard from Northwestern yet?

For those of you interested in checking up-to-date info on acceptances/interviews/etc. check out [GradCafe admissions results](Grad School Admissions Results for 2006–2024 • thegradcafe.com). I personally haven’t heard back from anywhere and it doesn’t look any EEs on gradcafe have either.

I am a mechanical engineering and I have already been accepted to Georgia Tech’s Mechanical Engineering PhD program. (My stats are on the first page of this thread)

I plan on visiting GT in February.

I have yet to hear from any other school though.

Yea GT decisions are out. Kinda weird cuz their app deadline is not until Feb 15

Good Luck Guys! Whoever’s applying to MS&E… sharing the stats sounds nice. I am very anxious since my GPA is kinda low, and I didn’t really know how to explain it in the application, cus I didn’t like engineering that much… which makes it harder to explain why I am still in Engineering school doing Masters…

Believe it or not a 3.45 is still not a bad GPA lol…the stats are a bit skewed on this forum ;)

That sounds like music to me… but I hope my GPA is at least “competitive”, which is hard to say in this forum.

Well, I had a 3.38 overall GPA, and I just got into the #2 ranked mat sci Ph.D. program. So really, they don’t care so much about it. My other stats include

-graduated from Harvard, BA in a physical science
-much higher concentration GPA, and even higher GPA in junior/senior year
-few pubs and awards

Just got unofficial acceptance letter from Stanford’s MS&E PhD Program! Sounds like they’re coming in.

Undergrad: MIT

Ket–you heard over the weekend? On Sunday? Nice…have you heard from anywhere else yet?

I was actually emailing back and forth with one of the professors there about his research (he’s really cool) and he told me. I’m not getting the official letter for a couple of weeks. I haven’t heard from anywhere else yet.

According to the Berkeley admissions person, the admissions committee meets once a week and announces new decisions once a week. I have a feeling this day is Tuesday based on people I know who have heard…

Just got into Berkeley! Man, it feels good

Confused519:

Congrats! what major did you apply as and how did they inform you of the decision?
