Decision thread is too early. I say 12:00 EST on MIT by a designated author. Also, come on, man! You've been endowed with a pretty high purpose creating the "OFFICIAL" 2010 RD Thread... then you goof it by typing "THread" So if possible nuke this one or disregard it - I don't think it is too much to ask if the "OFFICIAL" RD thread looks somewhat respectable.

^ Don't take this as mean. I know "you goofed it up" sounds somewhat satiric... and yes, it's suppose to be. But I mean it nicely? maybe?

i agree with JohnGalt. The official 2010 thread doesn't look aesthetically pleasing, and has already been contaminated by too much clutter. I suggest the thread should read "Official MIT RA Decisions - Class of 2010" and should only be created by a designated person at most the night before, in keeping with CC tradition.

An excellent idea. I think it's fair to let JohnGalt be the designated author - he suggested it first in this thread, and I trust he would make the official thread a beautiful one.

Agreed, everyone?

{ - and for what it's worth, please, please, please on the official thread, don't post your entire curriculum vitae under "I don't know my decision yet", or make any post other than a decision annunciation, for that matter. A separate "2010 MIT RA decisions discussion" thread may be appropriate. The decisions thread itself is a reference for next year's class, and chatter and ambiguity destroy the whole point of it. -}

I suggest we make the thread on the 17th, which is the mailing date. There are a few people who live in Massachusetts who might receive their decisions before the online notification. We shouldn't leave them out.

well i figured I'd edit the post and put the decision in once I got it lol...
oh well i agree lets make an official official one... instead of this unofficial official one.
