*official* 2011 regular decision post here

So we are not for sure but based on trends, Northeastern generally releases decisions on the Thursday of this week. If they do, make this the link where you let the world know about your good (or bad but hopefully not!) news. Copy and paste this format and fill out the stuff.

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?- My scores and GPA are both pretty good, and my essay was personal (about leadership and mentoring)

Will you be attending?- Hopefully!

^
What major did apply for?
and is that 3.9 out of a 4.0 and UW?

wait, who says the sats aren’t evaluated if you’re an international student? we are so lucky then!

importantindeed, it says so on their website. Whenu go itno admissions and look what is considered for each type of student, they dont list SAT as required for international students.

I’m an international applicant and during my application process I was in contact with a person at admissions several times (where also there and visited the school) and he said that there were requirements, either the sat or the toefl, and u had to have a certain score at the critical reading (i think it was 550) or a total of 84 from the toefl…

Don’t know if they base whether u get in or not on the scores BUT to be even considered at the school u had to fulfill these demands. at least, that’s how i understood it :)

@blackrose

The 3.9 is UW, I have a 4.9 W. I applied as a history major!

in an email i received from an admissions counsellor about SAT

‘SAT scores are not required for any applicant from outside of the U.S. therefore test scores will not be used in your application evaluation’

ok, then i might have misunderstood it, i did the toefl though. can’t be bad having it anyways…

Decision- ACCEPTED!

GPA- 3.5 UW/3.95 W
SAT/ACT-2100/33
ECs- president of cultural youth group/science league member/200+ community service hours, etc.
Honors/scholarship- Honors + 20k Dean’s scholarship

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?- I knew I was most likely going to be accepted, but I really have no idea how I got the huge scholarship and honors (possibly my major -Math Econ?) but I am definitely not going to be asking questions… lol

Will you be attending?-Maybe, waiting on a few reach schools…
