3.7 GPA Unweighted
1820 SAT
26 ACT
8 AP classes
Tons of clubs and leadership positions
Lots of Community activities

I did not see anything about a scholarship, but I’m happy anyway. Besides, I might get the GMS scholarship so it really doesn’t matter if they give me any money.

hey guys my sister was accepted to the NUIN program last year at northeastern and absolutely loved it. She participated in NUIN Greece. Her choices were between Greece and London. I heard that they expanded to greece, london, australia and costa rica this year…being in greece allowed her to experience the world in a completely different perspective. I’d love to give anyone who got accepted to this program more info…i also was accepted into this program and recently called northeastern to speak to a representative about it. They were a great help so I would highly recommend it if you have any questions or just want to speak to someone who did it last year!

Son was accepted with an “Excellence” scholarship. His GPA is 4.0 and his SAT scores were 680 Math, 670 Critical Reading and 740 for Writing. Moderate amount of ECs, mostly sports and service, but he was very committed and involved with leadership positions in each. Not sure if he will go there as he is currently favoring another school that really appears to want him and has offered more money and more special program opportunities.

Decision: Accepted - College of Business Administration

GPA: 3.7
SAT I: 2050
EC’s: Cross country, track, NHS, church programs, job
Honors: School Awards, tons of awards for sports (CC captain), state scholarship for test scores
Scholarships: $12k/year Dean’s Scholarship

Why do you think you were accepted: Grades and SAT’s I guess (My ranking actually isn’t that good in my opinion). My essay was also really unique.

Will you be attending: Not sure. I’m still waiting on two more schools and I probably won’t decide until I’ve visited them all once more.

Well, this sucks. NEU was my favorite school and had everything I’d ever hoped for
Denied from the pharmacy program …
Bet it was only judged upon my test score because everything else is great.
Ugh, why am I such a bad test taker? …
Oh, well I guess …

GPA- 3.6
SAT/ACT- 1860
ECs-Decent, alot of sports and Heritage type stuff.
Honors/scholarship- AP Scholar, High Honor Roll

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?- IDK lol me being African-American definitely was a hook maybe. I didn’t think I’d honestly get into Pharmacy School right out of high school.

Will you be attending?- I don’t know, it depends on my other decisions. I’m still on the fence about Pharmacy.

GPA- 3.98 UW / 4.25~ W
SAT/ACT- 2210 SAT, 800 SAT U.S. History, 790 SAT Math II
ECs- Music, chess, quiz bowl. Weak point of my app
Honors/scholarship- Honors Program / Dean’s Scholarship ($15k/yr)

Will you be attending?- Probably not, but I think it’s a great option if some of the other schools I applied to don’t work out. Anyway it’s nice to know that I am accepted here so the blow of getting denied from more selective schools won’t be as bad if that ends up happening.

@Jenonymous same here I was denied. NEU was my top choice. It was my dream school! Everything BUT my scores were great. At least, in my opinion.

Congrats to everyone else! NEU is a great school (I have a friend who goes there) with a beautiful campus!

GPA: 3.9
SAT: 2020
EC’s: Soccer team, jazz combo (and music overall), rec basketball, FIRST robotics, school newspaper writer, soccer referee/pet-sitter
Honors/scholarship: none :(. I’m actually pretty p!ssed considering I got $8,400 per year from WPI. Was expecting more from Northeastern.

I think I was accepted mainly for my grades and SAT’s.

Unless I attain some fairly significant scholarships/aid, there is no way I’ll be attending.

Decision: Accepted to the 6-year Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program

GPA: 3.79 UW, 4.33 W
ACT: 31
EC’s: Level 10 gymnast (17 hours workout/week), Yearbook club, math tutor, camp counselor (summer), 200+ hours volunteer work, NHS, Mu-Alpha Theta (Vice-President), National Beta Club, International Quill & Scroll Honor Society, AP Scholar, Presidential Honor Roll every semester

Deans Scholarship: 12K/yr

I was accepted probably because well rounded - athlete, good grades with a very rigorous course load (7 AP’s, many honors, and Latin), many volunteer hours, leadership roles, good ACT score.

Probably won’t attend because I was offered higher scholarships at good universities that are significantly cheaper. It’s a money thing - don’t want to pay back college loans for 20 years.

Accepted
2090 SAT 32 ACT
NU was one of D’s top two choices and would be top choice if she got into the Honors program. Didn’t get Honors. OK, there were 43000 applicants. But now the real disappointment. Like many others, the acceptance letter started with a congratulations to the nu.in program. After several readings of the letter and a bit of research on the nu.in program we realized that this was less of an acceptance letter than it was a sales job. We’re very disappointed in NU. Like many high school students, D was excited and anxious about starting college and was looking forward to the freshman experiences of living in a dorm, making friends, discovering the campus with her fellow freshman, etc… But the nu.in program denies her all of that. I’m sure it’s a good program for some students, but these postings prove that it’s not seen as favorable by the majority. If the program is as good as is claimed by NU, then it should be offered as an option - not as a take it or leave it proposition. Shame on NU. Congrats to everyone that got in. Wish we could have joined you.

Why were you accepted? Really good essay showcasing my writing ability and parents’ story of immigrating to America from Africa with nothing to becoming a doctor

Will you be attending? Possibly, waiting to hear back from Yale, Penn, UVA and BU- accepted to UM, UVM, H-SC

Congratulations to all those accepted, and to those not, good luck anywhere else, there’s a place for you.

GPA-3.75
SAT/ACT-1750
ECs- Varsity team :tennis, cross country, track & field, soccer. NHS, Community Service at Animal Shelter (senior year), yearbook, Community Service Comitee, Tennis player out of school (represented my country) and a few work experience and internships…
Honors/scholarship-Dean’s

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?- I think I have a solid record.

Will you be attending?- It’s a good choice… waiting for my reaches…
