Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed? - I honestly have no idea. I’m kind of shocked to be honest, this definitely wasn’t a reach school…my teachers thought my essays were excellent too :(

Will you be attending? No idea at this point.

Decision- accepted!

ECs- lit mag editor in chief and newspaper editor, church youth group leader, jazz band pianist, choral groups, tech for some plays, NHS, and i work…
Honors/scholarship- 14000/yr dean’s scholarship

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?-good stats…i knew i’d probably get in but wasn’t sure about scholarships, etc.

Will you be attending?- still waiting for most of my other acceptances. cost is a big factor, and even with the scholarship, i’ll still be way in debt strongly considering attending, though.

i’m curious, has anyone gotten into the business program yet? if so, please list your stats, etc.

^^What was your major?

I have a theory for why so many ‘above average’ students were waitlisted; the majority of students with high stats, use NEU as a backup to say NYU, BU or even ivy leagues, so if NEU gave up one of the very competitive spots to these students they have a higher chance of declining compared to someone who’s top top reach school is NEU.

In other words, why give a spot when (in their eyes) its probably just a backup.

But as i said, its just my theory, but this trend of waitlisting seems to be happening.

Got in

GPA-4.0
SAT/ACT-1960
ECs- A LOT of state level music awards and comps, hockey, math team, community service
Honors/scholarship- ROTC Scholarship

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?- Luck

Will you be attending?- If they switch me from Nu.in to regular admission for the fall

I am a soldier in the Army National Guard and I’m enrolling in ROTC at NEU. Obviously they missed that on my application…I can not just leave the country and study abroad, although it sounds like it might be cool, minus the expenses they’ve yet to tell you about. I hope this thing has exceptions, otherwise I won’t be able to attend. I’ve yet to read anywhere that it is completely mandatory on the NU site. Congratulations to everyone else who was accepted, good luck to those who haven’t yet been accepted.

Where is the scholarship and financial aid awards posted?

there’s a link on the webpage right below where it says your admission decision. if you didn’t get a merit scholarship/didn’t apply for fin. aid it won’t show up.

@blackrose101

Anyone in California find out yet?

cnc822: I got into the Business program in January as a Finance major.

3.75 GPA UW
32 ACT (33 Super Score)
Honors College, 20K/year Dean’s Scholarship

I felt my EC’s and Essays were good enough and I did receive an application fee waiver. Pretty content with this after seeing some of the other results.

^^^oh okay. Thank you.

Does anybody know where I could find the stats of accepted Journalism majors?

I STILL HAVNT GOTTEN AN EMAIL!!! should i call?!?! im from NJ

@blackrose101…i think you were asking me haha. my major’s english.

Accepted to the NUin program from NJ… i would have rather been waitlisted. This was my dream school, but not worth spending my first semester abroad.

Decision- Accepted (Behavioral neuro)

GPA-I don’t know exactly, around 3.9uw and 4.45w
SAT/ACT-2060/29
ECs- A little bit of everything, haha. Tae kwon do, student council president, National Honor society officer, lots of competitions, work at the local movie theatre, etc
Honors/scholarship- Nope

Why do you think you were accepted/denied/wait-listed?- I’m not sure, well rounded, I suppose. And lots of ECs. I’m not sure how easy the BNS program is to get into, as well.

Will you be attending?- I’m fairly certain! It’s my number one choice by a landslide. I just need to talk to my parents about affording it, of course. But I think I can manage…

From Pennsylvania, btw

accepted with 15,000/yr. Dean’s scholarship!
