daughter got the small envelope today....first and only rejection .
other than the fact it was a rejection, she wasn't upset. She got out of it what she put into it.
It was a last minute decision to apply. She never visited and did not submit finaid. I am sure they found applicants who showed much more interest.
To the ones who were waitlisted, I do hope it works out for you and you get to attend.

They said that about 150 stay on the waitlist and about 70 attend. How can you remain on the waitlist if they won't give you a decision by May 1st when all the other colleges demand a decision by then? That makes absolutely no sense. I'm not going to Holy Cross so it doesn't really bother me.

YOu have to accept another school and put a deposit down then if you get off the waitlist you can tell the school you accepted that you no longer are going there and loos you deposit at that school

Well thats the $500 question. And trust me, I'm not willing to drop half a grand.

It is something to consider and is the reason most students don't stay on the waitlist after May 15. Most see it as they should just be happy where they got accepted and stick with that choice. The way I justify it was that I am going to spend 200,000+ in the next four years in the end 500 is a small amount. But that's just me
