This has been a dream come true for me. In my freshman year of high school, I had a 0.9 GPA. I had failed 5 out of 7 classes. But during that summer in between my freshman and sophomore year, I made a change in the way I thought. I became devoted to become better and smarter student. Now, less than 5 years later, I find myself getting ready to attend one of the best schools in the world. I cannot believe this is happening.

Comments: I got a 3.5 GPA my first semester in Fall ’ 09. I was only able to achieve a 3.0 (cumulative) in Fall '11 two years later. Finally turning things around after being stuck in the 2.0 range for a while. I had gone through several trials, such as contracting tuberculosis and completely not giving a crap about my education for the first two years. The fact that I’ve been working hard this year in getting good grades has been a humbling experience and has definitely taught me to work harder than ever once I transfer. I am glad I was able to get into Cal Poly Pomona.
