Official 2013 AXA Achievement Scholarship

Hi! I'm just starting a thread for all the people that applied for this scholarship. Have you heard back yet? I got an e-mail today that said I was a finalist!

Congrats, sillycereal! Our daughter received an email saying she was a finalist, too! She’s very excited  What state are you from?

How many people make finalist out of the 120,000 that apply, also I was a finalist! How competitive is it after this stage?

I believe there were only 10,000 that applied; once 10,000 students applied it was closed. Our daughter hasn’t been able to find out how many of the 10K are finalists, so if you find out please let us know.

Which state are you all from?

I applied but haven’t heard anything yet. Also, my school has just given out information about this scholarship - I can’t believe it is closed and finalists have already been chosen!

I wasn’t chosen…

McKinster – Perhaps the information your school gave was for the AXA Community Scholarship? That is not due until Feb.1, 2013, or when 10,000 students apply – whichever comes first. This thread is for the AXA Achievement Scholarship. Good luck!

ZombieDante – Did you receive a letter/email saying you weren’t a finalist? Maybe you should apply to the AXA Community Scholarship as well? Those are selected by a local AXA office , I believe, or one in your area. I read some information about some offices giving multiple scholarships. Good luck to you as well!

^That’s the one I applied to. I did it really fast and didn’t know which one to pick. Anyway yes I got an email.

S is a finalist-

I applied. I got an email last week saying I didn’t make it

Yeah, I didn’t get it :frowning: Hoping for the AXA community scholarship, tho!

Sent from my PC36100 using CC

So anxious to hear the results! I was selected as semi-finalist from MI. We should know around the first week of March apparently. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to open the letter!

The applicants last year heard back around this time (Feb 28th through March 3rd) so maybe we will hear something this week! Is anyone getting as nervous as me? I was also wondering if anyone knows if they inform the top 10 who get $25,000 at the same time they inform the 52 who get $10,000?

I won the $10,000 state scholarship !

Awesome congrats Mrluggs! That really is a fantastic accomplishment  What was your achievement? I’m hoping I have a shot at winning for my state but I don’t want to get my hopes up. There were after all, 10,000 applicants. Oh my gosh I bet opening that letter was surreal!

Congrats Mrluggs!

Congrats Mrluggs!

Our DD did not receive the AXA Achievement scholarship. :frowning:
But, I know the kids who are named AXA Achievers must be amazing - good luck to all!

Thanks, guys!

Still waiting to receive a letter in the mail… At this point I think it’s safe to say I didn’t get the scholarship because I feel like I would have heard back by now if I was a state finalist :frowning: Anyone else still waiting?
