Official 2013 Decisions Thread!

We were at a Pitt Honors Day today and according to admissions the scholarship committee has only met twice. They meet every Friday to evaluate candidates for scholarships. It is not unusual for candidates to be evaluated more than once by the committee. So don't give up hope! You may still receive something.

thats good news. I got a freshman guarantee to Pharmacy and honors college but I'm in state and i know that doesnt help much.

Comments: I'm amazed they offered me a full tuition scholarship with just my rank, location, ethnicity, and SAT scores. Wow. This is an amazing fall back school for me now. I'm so excited for the rest of the admissions process =]

Congratulations lipitch! You will probably get a scholarship from the engineering school too! It is a long flight from Hawaii to Pittsburgh! We lived in Hawaii for three years and wouldn't mind going back to stay :)

Yeah I did get a 16k scholarship from the Engineering school. Jeez 116k in scholarships. This feels really good lol.

How did you guys already get financial aid information? If I was accepted but didn't get any other information besides I was a strong candidate for the honors college, do I assume I didn't get any merit scholarships?

The scholarship letter arrrives after your acceptance letter. If you don't get one within a reasonable amount of time, then assume you will probably not get a scholarship. If you do have new ACT/SAT scores that are better than those submitted with your application, send them!

finally got it! full tuition!

the letter was dated 10/31... what took so long?? haha

FULL TUITION!
yeah, i don't know why mine took so long, either...but who cares? i can go to pitt for sooooo cheap!

FULL TUITION!!! YAYYY.
except P's (hah. a twist on S / D) tuition benefits already cover it, so it won't be used :(
