Admission office said yesterday that they release 100 posts daily during weekdays. Out of the thousands applicants, it might take a while to get a response =(

I’m freakin dying over here. still pending :(

They’ve got to release more than a 100 per day in order to finish by May 1st.

They received about 13.5k transfer apps this year.

I know how you feel shmohawk! Still pending here too…

They’re not releasing any admissions during weekends are they?

@jrlovesseattle unfortunately they are not releasing anything on the weekend. I really want to attend UCSB. I’m ready to purchase my UCSB shirt!

@frankbot its my #2 but same here man! We still got one day before the weekend lol

I don’t understand why the don’t do TAG applicants first. Shouldn’t they figure out how many admission spots are guaranteed in order to know how many spots are left for regular applicants? It would also be really quick to accept/reject TAG applications since the requirements are clear.

that sucks guys… I already got into sdsu, ucsd, and ucsb… just waiting on irvine and santa cruz. good luck to everyone!

I didn’t get the chance to TAG. But I’m curious, how do you get denied if you TAGed? Isn’t it by definition a guarantee? Lol

[/ul]General Comments: still waiting on others, UCLA being my first choice, but if not I wouldnt mind SB

I am so angry at UCSB! lol

@jrlovesseattle TAG only guarantee priority, not admission, but like @andrewexd said, I wonder how they guarantee priority to ppl who TAGed when they make decision in totally random order, same as UCSD

^Actually, I beg to differ… TAG stands for “Transfer Admission Guarantee”. It doesn’t just give you priority, it guarantees admission to the campus (as long as you meet the requirements). California Community Colleges and UC-UC transfers (to a slightly lesser extent) already have priority in transferring at the junior level.

Ok I have a question, I’m still pending for ucsb. I only applied for the pre-econ and accounting major. I didn’t put anything under an alternative major because I was under the impression that you had to get all your prereqs done for you to be seriously considered. Can I still add a alternative major by messaging them?

@bjmims232 I highly doubt it.

Attending Transfer Admit Day? (if admitted): Sure Why not?
Strengths: IDK I think that it may have been that I kept in contact with the admissions office expressing my interests and asking questions.
Weaknesses: Everything (GPA, Personal Statement, ECs) could’ve been better.
General Comments: These few days have been very intense, but I’m thankful that I got in. I think I have you guys to thank. I didn’t include my winter grades to my application because it would’ve brought my GPA down. I included it in a few days ago because every other member was saying that you should not be in IP for your English or Math. I took critical thinking my winter session so I included it asap and now I think that’s what got me in!!! I still have to wait on UCI but I’m pretty sure I’m gonna go to UCSB anyway :D
