<p>Well, I hope they will send emails to international students. I am in Western Indonesia Time Zone, which is 11 hours ahead of EDT. So, 5pm at Harvard is 4am here in Jakarta…Not that i mind at all if Harvard call me at that time to inform me of my acceptance, lol</p>
<p>I found out that Harvard is planning to mail the official letters on May 20th, with a response date of May 26th. The official letters will have the Financial Award information.</p>
<p>Operadad are u sure about this information? Would u mind sharing your source with us?</p>

Hey - thanks I will contact the alum office - yeah I got a call yesterday !! ( it wasn’t at 5 - actually at 2 p.m eastern time when they were taking a break after deliberating decisions) Good luck everyone else - hope to see you at Harvard in the fall ! </p>

<p>Hey Yeah - just to confirm here - I got in (got a call yesterday from the admissions office) </p>
<p>Quick stats - Male from Northern Ireland (international), sent in a recommendation from the headmaster of my school, sent in a letter expressing my love of Harvard and recent updates, sent in a CD of my photographs (recognized nationally at a competition 3 weeks ago). I can confirm what Operadad said - we will not be getting the official letters until May 20th (source:Admissions Committee)</p>

<p>Please note that the above post is completely wrong - I just walked in on my sister on my CC account writing the past few posts that have been posted from my account (she scorns CC and also hates me and all my obsessing over various wait lists so that is probably why). </p>
<p>Just to clarify I have not been admitted from the WL, and although originally from Northern Ireland I now reside in the USA and have full resident status. </p>
<p>I am very sorry for any problems caused/ hopes for internationals raised. I will be trying to report all the posts above etc etc.</p>

<p>^^^no harvardmom simply reported the story since it was on the other waitlist thread. Apparently cardinal’s sister posted on the other waitlist thread first.</p>
<p>no (I think) she simply saw a post my sister had made under my account on another thread and posted it here. Anyway I really want to forget about this- Im fuming. SO: Yeah - whats with them spending time on ANYTHING apart from getting us off the waitlist !!! GRRR</p>

<p>Well Im not technically international - I was when applying but my resident status changed during the WL period so now i am considered a domestic candidate. Im sure there will be places for Internationals though - there is not quota unlike at MIT</p>
<p>^If we don’t hear by the 19th, we will have to wait for the second round of deliberations, which (according to OperaDad) won’t start until at least the 26th of may. This is because the letters are mailed out to accepted students on the 20th, and responses are expected by the 25th.</p>
<p>So much drama on the CC thread. If letters must go out by Tuesday they must have some idea by the end of this week so we should be hearing about phone calls soon.</p>

<p>I just called Admissions and found out something that could also inform the rest of you: decisions may be made by region, but people won’t be contacted by region.</p>
