<p>I was waitlisted and one was rejected at my school. I enrolled at Caltech and I’d rather go there but my parents are making me stay on the waitlist for H and P cause they would rather I go to one of those so it might actually suck to have to pick if I do get in haha. </p>

<p>question - when i got deferred from penn, i wrote them a letter basically like “i would attend if i were admitted” and then i got admitted. but now i am thinking about writing a similar letter to harvard…do you guys think that’s like cheating in some ways? i mean, penn was my first choice at the time of the first letter and now it isn’t…</p>

<p>Putting my name here too, misery loves company. Out of the four people applying from my (public) HS, three got rejected and I’m the only one with a chance. Makes me feel good…even if I don’t have much of a chance. I’ll probably send in a letter at the end of April when I hear back from Presidential Scholars and other things.</p>
<p>Going to Duke, WUSTL, or Emory (I’m actually in Durham right now for Blue Devil Days) if I don’t get accepted to Harvard, but I won’t be disappointed.</p>

Out of the 3 competitive applicants who applied from my school, one was accepted and two were waitlisted. I’m pretty sure the person who was accepted will attend, but I’m not sure if the other waitlistee is staying on. I’m going to get myself set with the idea of attending Chicago or Penn, and try not to come back to these forums until May. Hopefully one of my waitlists will turn out well, although Harvard was and still is my first choice. Good luck everyone in the meantime! </p>
