Then comes Tuesday and 50 people get of the waitlist.

Let’s hope that comes true… =D

Then comes Tuesday and 50 people get of the waitlist.

Let’s hope that comes true… =D

Yeah, Harvard /would/ make me wait until after my very last school exam. Just waiting and working through the pain of 4 AP’s wasn’t enough…

In the past, they have indeed made calls on weekends, but as they don’t seem to have have even started yet, it may not be this weekend.

Hi Everyone.

I just found out that the admissions committee has not met to discuss the NYC region yet. That they haven’t makes me think that there are other regions that have yet to be discussed. Thus I don’t think it is not odd that so many CCers have not heard yet. In addition, my GC also said that my regional rep said that they plan to send mail out at the END of next week.

I hope this helps.

sigh, no one ever wants colleges to try out a new system their year

i guess this year is just unlucky

Anyone know if the Chicago area region has been discussed yet?

i just found this article interesting:
[Mathacle Blog: Yield Holds Steady For The Class of 2013 At Harvard](Mathacle's Blog: Yield Holds Steady For The Class of 2013 At Harvard)

I hope my region has not yet been discussed and that it will very soon :)

roggle6292 you’re a bit late. It’s the exact same article posted on the Crimson :)

reptil i think that our region europe or northern europe for you, south for me has not yet been discused…

how about latin america?

@1991 - is that just a guess or is it based upon some actual information (Europe is my region also) :)

Counselor told me so but she contacted the adm office a few days ago(3) and not today…

yeah well… all this is just a waiting for Godot and discussing why he hasn’t come yet let’s just wait if he doesn’t really finally show up, we can’t influence anything just now…

Hi everyone!

Just admitted off the waitlist this morning around 10AM PST. My regional rep called me! I’m from NorCal!!!

best to all of you, maybe see you in Cambridge in the fall!!

From the thread last year, it seems like California always got off the list first. Odd.

Congrats, musicgal!

also from Norcal–got in…sort of…got offered a place in class of 2014–definitely not sure about what I’m going to do

^hmm forced gap year

so, when are the calls from the first round coming? by the 19th?

wow… Godot is finally here. omg congrats to u musicgal!

jockoandcluny - I was always curious about those situations. Could you let us know something more about yourself - did you graduate early, are your parents alumni, did you have recommendations from some high profile people (I don’t mean that to be offensive, I just heard those might be the reasons for one to be admitted with a gap year). Or why do you think Harvard is offering you this alternative?

is the forced gap year normal…?

ahhh any news from FL? Should I have any hope considering I didn’t do anything extra besides click the button to stay on the wait list?
