BTW, are you from the Metro Boston region?

Congratulations to all of you who got in today. I am curious if they have discussed internationals yet. Other than several people have got in from England, I haven’t heard of any other internationals getting in.

I haven’t heard any news in the South. Still waiting down here in Alabama.

If you get a call, does it come up on the caller ID?

OKay so I don’t know if this will help with the wait or anything, but my reg. rep told me I have until June 1st to make a decision… So maybe that means the 1st round will end then, for they can start on the second group now that they know the numbers. Again I don’t know if this helps. Please keep your hopes up!!! And a word of advice: i would pose any questions to the reg rep since they are the one arguing for you that’s what I did. Plus I think you’ll have a harder time annoying the person who’s expecting the updates/questions rather than the uptight receptionists who don’t have accurate info anyway. And If you haven’t yet tell your reg. rep why you want HARVARD and not the other amazing schools you got in. I think that’s what helped me since my interviewer seemed to stress it and I was lacking that on my orig. app. so just tell them why you want to wear crimson for the next 4yrs. GOOD LUCK!!! (And I know you’re all tired of hearing this but you guys were awesome students before HARVARD and the whole admissions process, so you will be incredible students and people wherever you go). I hope this helped :)

anyone think it’s advisable to send a letter simply reiterating interest and highlighting aspects of Harvard that I particularly like?

go Southerners…i hope some of us get in

you know i was wondering whether the south will get many on…according to that one link with state breakdowns, FL was one of the higher numbers out of other states…

Rawr, tomorrow will be our day!

I think it’s worth a shot YEli, although it might only affect the decisions for the next wave since it’s so late. Anyways, I would give it a try.

kclubs is definitely right!
I wrote my regional rep telling her why exactly it is I want to go to Harvard - with details about professors I wanted to work with, classes I wanted to take, school quirks that I love, etc. It’s worth a shot! :)

word up to those members wondering about the south. I’m from GA and I’ve got my fingers crossed!

Go South. I am from LA and have not heard a thing! My guess is tomorrow, one way or another.

Midwest yet? :O

btw, i have a theory on why the south (and the midwest perhaps) may be rolling in a bit late: I faintly remember the opening words of an admissions officer assisting with the information session upon my visit to campus- she was, i think, responsible for some areas of NY, the state of GA, any possibly another area (my memory isn’t so good.)

If an admissions rep is responsible for many, many places then they would have to go one at a time…? Lol now i’m really grasping at straws! :P

waitlisted from TX

should that additional letter from me be sent via email or regular mail?

Got the call today! I’m in the PA region.

Maybe the North is still mad at the South for trying to split apart.

lol monroylobo…i hope not

seems like calls today were concentrated west coast and NE

@musicgal3 Thanks for confirming what I said. I didn’t even post it, but when I did my “why Harvard” letter I was really really specific here’s a qoute " I would love to take Womens Work: Gender in the World of Atlantic Slavery with Professor ODonovan and then swing over to Professor Manelas lecture on American Foreign relations in the 20th Century."
Honestly, i think they just want to know why you want Harvard instead of the other awesome schools you got into.

A friend of mine just got off the waitlist today! I’m soooo happy for her!!! She’s in Florida

Aww, my hope was just shattered. Congrats to your friend though! That must’ve been pretty exciting.
