****Official 2013 Harvard Waitlist Thread****

No one has heard about Georgia(the state not the country)?

How about NYC? Anybody know anything?

I just called the admissions and although I didn’t get any further than to talking to the first receptionist (supposedly a student who picks up the phone, correct?), here is what I have been told:

He specifically stated the first round of the waitlist acceptances finished yesterday and that rejection letters will be sent out on Friday.

However, there is still a second pool of waitlisted students and those will be discussed next week.

I just called, and two things:

There will be calls made today.

Friday marks the end of the first round. Letters releasing some candidates will also be mailed.

Err, oops. Looks like someone beat me to the punch.

No one has gotten a call in the past few hours though?

wait, Procrastination and LadyChance’s reports contradict each other…

/\ Yea, I noticed that too. I’m just assuming that calls could be made on Friday at the latest.

The guy seemed to say that the round ended, but when I asked if calls would be made he said yes. Perhaps he meant that the acceptances have been decided, but they haven’t finished calling.

so will calls be made or not? :P

Hopefully!

Things were too quite all day! I am afraid the fat lady will start singing soon!!!

“I just want my phone call.”

Ditto, AP930

I emailed my admissions office and I believe I was rejected. Oh well. Good luck to the rest of you.

what did they say that you think that?

you emailed your rep?

Yes. Here is the email:

"Thanks so much for all your updates. We’re working on the wait list and are disappointed we cannot take more students from it.

You’ll be hearing from us in the beginning of next week."

In response to “what is the status of my application?”

I’m assuming she means that I will receive the rejection letter in the mail at the beginning of next week.

I don’t know if all the regional reps will respond like that and reveal app status…

if TX has been called, i guess that’s bad news for me

Does Florida share its region with TN?

Uh, not that it probably matters at this point, yet still - how did you guys find the contacts to your regional representatives? Can anyone link me, please?

You have to call the Harvard admission office, who will then forward you to them. They don’t give you the information.
