they won’t send out rejections through email?

im pretty sure that they are not gonna send it out by email,
most people on this thread have said letters but i cant be certain

Anybody hear anything?

Is it a possibility that more calls would be made this week?
Compared to last year, is 13 accepted waitlistees out of 140 or so members a norm?

honestly, i don’t think so. but we can hope. and about 25 got off the waitlist last year on CC total, but they admitted more too. … we’re talking about a 100+ person difference… so proportionally speaking, it’s about it. but date-wise… i don’t know, it seems like there will be more rounds anyway. at least one more round…

ugh, i hope so. everytime the phone rings, my heart jumps a bit

Wait only 25 CCers got off last year!!! Then, comparatively speaking 13 or so first round is actually a lot isn’t it? Also, I was just looking through last year’s thread and around this time of the year, Harvard sent an email to the accepted waitlistees something along the lines of “By now, you should have received a call congratulating your acceptance…” Did anyone get that yet?

maybe 30 at most. you can read through the 2012 thread if you want… i’m too lazy to now. and at this point it won’t make a difference to me ![]()
but good luck!

We haven’t heard of any internationals getting any news other than the Britts. Do you guys think that internationals are in the same pool and has the round ended for internationals?

Or will internationals be discussed separately after the Americans + Britts?

Hey! So I’ve officially become one of the lurkers who’s decided not to lurk anymore. I’m also still on the waitlist (and feeling pretty helpless, lol!)

But first of all, CONGRATS to everyone who has gotten the call!

A quick question that I think was asked awhile back but never got answered (or maybe it was?)…

Are the regional reps assigned according to where you live or where your citizenship is, and has anyone in Asia gotten the call yet?

I was also wondering how they manage the time zones (should I be expecting a call at 1 am? or do they email instead)

Reptil, purplecat, i have the same question too, regarding internationals. And yet, purple cat, the regional reps are assigned according to your geographical region.

would they have a regional rep for Costa Rica or for Central America (or a bigger area) ?

Svirus, I’m like 40 minutes south of Boston, idk what constitutes metro Boston exactly haha.

So is it time to give up on the South? Has anyone heard anything from the southern representative?

not at 2:38 am, I havn’t heard anything, but they I /am/ a northerner. I hope today brings round 1.5. Does anyone else miss collecting CD’s of AOL 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8?

Really, I am very grateful to anyone who calls admissions to find a word about what’s going on there, even if the words are dodgy.

still no news here in GA. I fear a frightful letter is going to be on its way this weekend

I’m sorry, but just making sure… so the reps are assigned based on geographical region of where you live (or go to high school)?

I got the call yesterday at 9.00 am EST (3.00 pm my time, I’m Italian).

This forum was quite useful while I was waiting to get some information about the process and to calm down a bit, so thanks a lot to everyone!

That’s great Gallus, the first international waitlisted acceptee except Britts. :)

I wait for such a call as well :D

Purplecat, yes, applicants are assigned to specific regional officers based on where they live/where they go to high school. Where in Asia are you from, btw?
Gallus, my congratulations.
