****Official 2013 Harvard Waitlist Thread****

Letting the kids still on the waitlist that my daughter turned down the Harvard offer she received after getting off the waitlist in mid-May. She stewed it over for a couple of weeks after waffling between Y and H. She sent in her response yesterday, the deadline date. She decided to stick with Yale which she absolutely LOVES. So there’s at least one place in this second round. Good luck!

Well, thats more good news that some students will be receiving acceptances. Ughh i called Harvard & they said they were in the middle of the second round. IDK what to think anymore. I just want to move on, & know officially & for sure where I will be going. & thanks teachcounsel for updating on your daughter’s decision. Let’s all hope this is over soon :)

What I would suggest, HopingForHarvard, is to get your mind off the wait-list for a while by doing something fun. It’s just a few more days until graduation (at least for my school), so you might as well enjoy them (yesterday, our class went to the LA Zoo…the meerkats were sooo cute!)

i got in. im going. was going elsewhere. got lucky i guess

Congratulatons for signing up today! Where were you going before you got in? ■■■■■ university? The deadline was the 1st, so their first meeting would have been today or yesterday. So it’s unlikely that they picked you this early

I was actually going to the school of foreign service at georgetown. There first meeting was not today, as a matter of fact, the waitlist is probably closed by now. Get your facts straight buddy.

Unless you give credible details of when you received your email, call, or letter, it’s natural that the other WLers here would be suspicious. First post, no data= ■■■■■ presumption.

but yeah, at this point in time, you are really doing yourself a disservice by not getting excited with your current school…i mean, what’ll happen, will happen…;)

bife…first meeting of the extended waitlist…

for those abroad, could you please explain how you were informed your were taken off the waitlist, did they call? email ? or did you just wait for the mail to bring an acceptance letter plus the fin aid stuff?

when did you get notified of your acceptance off the waitlist for Harvard?

someone posted a link to check if you got accepted but is there an equivalent for those who got rejected? XD

Gah, I’m so tired of waiting. Does anyone know when the second round of decisions are going to be released?

so this may be totally paranoid, but i’m going to justify that with the fact that it’s almost one in the morning  i have a really strange situation. i went to school in one state but my parents live in another, and i’m not sure if H has my parent’s address or mine so should i call admissions or would that be stupid? also i’m going out of the country for all of june so i can’t wait by my cell phone. should i give h an email for them to reach me at, since the school email i gave them will soon be expiring?

I think you should call and give them all your relevant information. It isn’t going to impact on their evaluation of you…and at least you will have peace of mind.

The committee is reconvening next Tuesday according to my GC who emailed our Harvard rep.

@tweetmeup - I have the same problem. I’ll be out of the country all of June starting next Tuesday. I emailed my GC to ask if this would cause a problem if I really do end up getting accepted. Still waiting on her email back.

Once again conflicting information. So my AO said that they would be starting around now & for the next 10 days, blife said it’s already been finished, and alicmoo says it’s next tuesday according to her GC.

I think we are all just going crazy. haha jk. Well, I was just nominated for a very prestigious award at my school & emailed my AO about it. I also asked him about the waitlist second round. for instance when the second round ends & about how many students they are taking. i’ll post back when he replies.

is this week deadweek? no one has gotten any letters for a while now…

just received the may 22 rejection letter, i guess they arrive late for internationals … luck to all of those who remain, and those who didn’t , hope ur in great colleges

at least your AO replied…

i sent two emails and had no response.

if any gets a response from Harvard, can you send me a notice? None of my friends have gotten notification of acceptance/rejection either.
