Official 2013 RD Results!

Accepted.
Oregon
ACT: 32

We just got back from vacation and the acceptance package was in the mailbox. My S has very good stats (2220, 4.0 UW), but he will not be going to U of R. The financial aid package was pathetic (to say the least). He has materially better offers at arguably better schools. No way to justify the $$ U of R is asking for an undergraduate degree. Good luck to all those accepted and attending.

I received my acceptance, but was given no FA. Is there still a chance for merit scholarships???

**I thought I had narrowed my options prior to today, but I just got a letter from UR offering me a summer fellowship. My decision will now be a lot more difficult to say the least

What is a summer fellowship?

@bigdaddy88 A chance to do research/unpaid internship

Thanks. I checked their website. Seems like it’s designed for current students. How did you manage to snag the opportunity without being a student?? My D is a junior in HS and would jump on an opportunity like this!

@bigdaddy88 I won’t be doing it until I’m a student there. They just sent me a letter to offer it to me. I can choose to do it after my freshman, sophomore or junior year there. :)

Ok. Thanks and best of luck to you! Go SPIDERS!

@collegeconscious and @dhar32 Sent you guys private messages!

Also @2013dreamer Congrats on the fellowship!
I got one for this summer for summer research and I can’t wait!!

Thank you! Congrats to you as well! :)

Recently got accepted and unbelieveably excited.
SAT: 1900
IB prediction: 38 points
As far as I know I love richmond and it is my top choice but because I live in England I haven’t been able to visit the campas. Can anyone give me some info about dorms, profs, dining etc…
Thanks!

@England95:

The campus is gorgeous! I visited the campus in September and was accepted ED. The campus is very large and all of the buildings and the lake are very, very nice! The buildings are all very nice and up to date. It helps that UR is currently in the process of updating and adding a lot of buildings (including a new set of on campus apartments and a new upperclassmen dorm). The food is really good for college food! Of course it probably gets a little old but there are 8 other places to get food on campus besides the dining hall. Amazing deserts in the dining hall too! The dorms are very nice too. Decent size and seem pretty nice. Hope that helps!

Just got waitlisted :(

Nothing for me and i am an international student fingers cross :0

International student as well, haven’t heard anything either
