Official 2014 Carnegie Mellon University Transfer Thread

A thread to help each other out with the wait, financial aid info, acceptances/rejections, and everything in between :)
Unlike other top notch private college, CMU's acceptance transfer rate is high in comparison to others. That was a part of the reason why I applied, along with the location, academics, atmosphere, etc.

I got rejected. Apparently the decision was out in May 2, but It did not even bother to send me an email letting me know my decision was available. :frowning:

@gbmabuoc, I was rejected as well :(

How did you guys find out? I checked the “Where I am in the Process Page” but nothing has changed.

@hulster I logged in ‘Where am I in the Process’ yesterday and found a button named decision letter beneath ‘Biographical Information’. My best guess is that they admit based on the major you apply. I applied for CS, what about you? They said the result would be out in June so I did not expect to see the decision. I did not even have the time to be nervous :-S. I think you still have the chance, hang in there!

@randombookie This is the second rejection I got, so sad. What College and department did you apply?

yea i applied for cs as well - i don’t see any decision letter button though.

How about the college choice table decision column? Mine says ‘not admitted’

Mine says nothing in the college choice - except for the three choices.

@gbmabuoc, aww I’m sorry to hear that. Did you get accepted to any other universities?

At CMU, I applied as a psych major

@hulster, I got a formal letter of rejection and there’s a hyperlink that says Admission Decision Letter or something like that on “Where Am I in the Process?”

Really hate to pry, but what were your college stats?
