The Official 2014 Coca-Cola Scholarship Thread.

This thread is for those applying by the October 31, 2013 deadline and are graduating in 2014.

who can apply???

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be:

Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States (or select DoD schools);
U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents; Refugees; Asylees; Cuban-Haitian Entrants; or Humanitarian Parolees;
Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application;
Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution;
Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school.

Applicants may not:

Be children or grandchildren of employees, officers or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions or subsidiaries.

application is all online how do you send them recommendation letter?

no recommendations for first round!

is it applicable for Indians too?

Yes, the Coca-Cola scholarship does not discriminate by race!

Getting pumped/nervous at the same time filling out my application. It’s really nerve-wracking, because all I can think as I finally put everything down on paper is that it doesn’t really look all that spectacular. Eeek.

Makes me wonder if it’s worth applying.

What are some examples of community service awards? (Page 3 of application)

For clubs, does participant mean member? As in, I was in NHS but was not an officer.

Would like some clarification on the “none” option as well. None as in no officer position, or not in the club at all?

If a student participated in MITES, where should he/she record this on the application?

Do you get money for making it passed the first round or is it just a one shot winners get this much money kind of deal

Hey guys, I’m not an expert on the scholarship but I’ll answer your questions as best as I can.

Rosin333 - Something like the Best Buy Scholarship Program or The President’s Volunteer Service Award

Aegise - I think participant means member, not sure about the “none” option

Milbry - Not sure what MITES is.

Sherwoodbrad - You must pass a couple rounds to win the scholarship money

Not a fan of this app. I can’t really put any of the activities outside of school that mean most to me.

And after filling out the entire app today, I just noticed how absolutely BARREN it is. Quite depressing.

I will appreciate if someone can validate which one is genuine website I do not hit phony web site.

www.coca-colascholars.org
[Applicants | Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation](Programs - Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation)

Also can someone talk about *****************, if content of the website can be taken seriously.

Thanks in Advance.

hmm … seems there is secuirty built in here … in place of

Applications | Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

I types coca-colascholarsfoundation dot org slash applicants

and

in place of astrisk I typed scholarships dot com

JamalKids: The second link for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation that you posted is the correct one. In fact, the first one won’t even load.

As for scholarships dot com, I am not sure.

Is my son therefore not eligible? Or does this relate to a current employee?

Could someone help clarify the question “number of honors” courses at my school? Our sequence follows AP, Advance, Honors, CP. I have taken all of the highest levels, I checked my profile and nothing is listed either. TIA
