Official 2014 Georgetown Transfer Thread

I got an email and then, a week later, I got a physical decision in the mail.

@GunninMed‌ very impressive my friend! I applied to MSB and hopefully I hear good news tomorrow… If not I’ll be going to USC Marshall

I’m fairly sure georgetown just accepts you to a certain school (college, msb, sfs, nursing) and doesn’t really look at your major too much

@Morphe‌ thanks. I submitted my application at 11 PM on March 1 so I guess I should have expected them to return the favor haha

@GunninMed‌ Congrats!
@rjl757 Ahhhh, well, good luck to you! :smiley: Hopefully they don’t keep you on your toes for too long!

@rjl757‌ thanks a lot :slight_smile:

And that makes sense @hartfish2013‌. Their both in the same school anyway, doh moment lol there were some early acceptances to the college that’s when I rationalized the by major theory lol.

I just called admissions and they said all decisions come by postal mail for U.S. students and by email for international students, but I don’t buy that at all

Wow nothing in the mail today… This is torturous…

So I called the admissions office today and they informed me that they had actually mailed out the decisions 2 days ago. I am assuming that they should arrive within the next couple of days.

I don’t understand, why can’t they just send us an email like all the other colleges?

Nothing in the mail either; I live in MD.

I’m hoping for a letter tomorrow. It would be really tough to wait until Monday :-SS

@KingofSweden couldn’t agree more, I don’t think I can wait till monday! Fingers crossed, tomorrow the mailman will bring a big envelope !

I just got an email and I was waitlisted. The email said I would be notified by july 15th… I guess it’s better than a flat out “no”.

@transfer026‌ I just got my waitlisted email as well… I agree, better than a no.

I also just got waitlisted… AKA denied… ■■■■ me…

@Luthsn‌ I did just look at last year’s thread and there was some hope for waitlisted students… perhaps it doesn’t have to be terrible news?

waitlisted as well… Definitely better than a rejection

joining the waitlisted club, but i’m still deciding if i’m going to take a place on it or not.

Just got the email! Waitlisted as well. I will definitely be sending in additional application updates. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Also waitlisted!
