<p>Just called admissions, asking if it was worth sending in an additional section. They told me no because the committee already made their decision and I’ll hear back this Thursday about Stern…</p>
<p>@Blossom14 well I submitted my app on march 29th but for some reason NYU on my application status says it was submitted on the 31st. Anyway yeah Ill keep having hope lol Thanks!</p>
<p>I submitted my common app on the 29th too, but my albert status said it was submitted on the 14th of April. I don’t think it makes much of a difference as long as you got it in on time.</p>
<p>@dwarnock95 ok I submitted mines on March 7th. Still not sure why they haven’t gotten back yet, hopefully they do by this week. I hate not knowing where I’m going to be in the fall</p>
<p>@Blossom14 Yeah I know what you mean. I only applied to NYU and Penn and I was rejected from Penn so i’m just waiting for NYU now haha. If I don’t get in I’ll just stay at my current School Temple University but I really want NYU. I did the precollege program in high school 2 summers ago. I then applied Early Decision because I loved it so much and was denied. But this past summer I went back and took more courses there haha they can’t get rid of me that easily lol really hopin it works out this time.</p>

I applied senior year as well and was denied but I did regular decision. I’m sure they’ll see your determination because I certainly do. I feel the same way about really wanting to be at NYU but I’ll settle for my school too lol! @tweetybird12 I applied to their Music Business program. What about yourself?</p>
<p>Hey hey! I’m still waiting too. And it really sucks since I need to pay the deposit for Emory on Friday (5/23) and Boston University on June 1st. I really really want to go to NYU though and I would feel bad to “throw away” 650$ of deposit for another school if I eventually go to NYU. I hope we’ll all get in, we can always hope for the best right? I think I will pay the deposit for BU just in case, but drop Emory, what do you guys think? I’m a psych major btw. Emory is better ranked but I feel I’d like Boston more, I’m from Paris and I need a city. </p>

<p>@mmh224 Congrats on your acceptances to Emory and BU! Do you mean Emory is ranked higher overall or in your program? </p>
<p>@MMH224, I learned this the hard way that overall ranking for a college (like the business or psych college) holds much value. </p>
<p>Do you know what you want to pursue for a full-time career? Do you know the tier of employers for that industry? If you can answer those questions, then call each school and ask if those employers recruit from their school and how many kids each year have received internships and full-time offers. Also, look into where the recruiters are domiciled. If they are East coast then most likely they’ll more heavily recruit from BU than Emory, because Boston is in their backyard. Same holds for Emory. </p>
<p>If you’re planning on going to graduate school after your undergrad, then see who has the higher placements for for graduate school and if it is for graduate school of the same major (ie a psych undergrad doing a MBA isn’t the same as a psych undergrad going on to a psych Phd program). If you have any graduate programs in mind, call the program and ask what attributes they look for in applicants. </p>

<p>@MMH224 I’m from Atlanta and I would recommend Emory. It’s a very good school with a beautiful campus and it’s also very diverse. I’ve toured it a couple times. If I was you I’d secure a deposit with the one that’s better ranked until you hear from NYU
