wait, i am very familiar with sensitivity and specificity and i’m pretty sure i got like correct for last 2
oh sigh

I put epigenetic differences for part b of 2C, fingers crossed that it will receive some credit. Is alternative splicing considered one type of epigenetic???

it might be. I think you will at least get partial credit.

no it doesn’t. epigenetic is the regulation of genes (turning them on or off via methylation, etc.) alternative splicing would be changing the actual gene product.

with that being said it’s certainly a reasonable thing to write. hopefully they give some partial

alternative splice ice ice ice ice icing

what was the cutoffs from the last three years?

93/150, 134/237, 139/208 (i’m likin the second one)

how many points was this exam out of. Did anyone count the points during the test. I know the points for part a and b but not for c.

How was parts a and b for you guys? I don’t think any of them were as much trouble as c

245 i think (C was 65, A+B=180)

Am i the only one who didnt know how to do part A? How did you do it?

you filled in bubbles

are you sure? i could’ve swore they told us to draw a dinosaur…

wait i meant #1 for part C LOL

hmm so let’s say you got 45 95 15 combined that’s 155/245. does that cut it maybe?

Actually, anyone here take the 2012 exam? how is it compared to this year’s exam. And, that would be a good cutoff btw.

probably, the cutoff this year will likely be lower than last years. also consider the fact that three IBO gold medalists are graduating.

i made like 5 stupid mistakes on section b i think
oh welps

part c i bombed by misreading questions lol.

what do you mean by three gold medalists are graduating? like, they took the exam this year or not?

it was out of 245
