"Official" 2014 USABO thread

I know someone that got a 183

Does someone have access to the teacher resource center who can post the histogram (if it is indeed posted there)? Also, how do you think the top 10% list will be posted? Do you guys think it’ll be a list of names, or an extra sheet of paper, or…?

I’m surprised no one from Mira Loma got in!!! LAAAAAWWWWWWLZZZZZ!!

@Airbus - That’s kinda mean… and I’m sure they’ll crush us all next week :P

Congrats to all the finalists and semifinalists! I look forward to meeting all the finalists in June

oh wait they’re recognizing 146 and above?
great

Hey guys,
I contacted my teacher and she says the histogram will soon be posted to trc. Same goes for the actual list of finalists. So for you guys out there that are annoyed that no one has posted a histogram yet, chill for a few days. I’ll post this stuff as soon as I can

Alright, thanks! (and congrats again! your score is very intimidating…)

Thanks :)

if we got above 146 (the top 10% thing) how much is it worth to colleges?
and also if we got the 10% thing, what does it say under the status thing?

wait i got exactly 146 LOLOL damn do i not get recognition

Is the histogram out yet?

Yes, and the highest score is 204.

Can someone please upload the histogram?

Do you know when they will post the top 10%

I hope they post the top 10% results on the usabo site just like the Chemistry and Physics Olympiads.

ok guys histogram is up!

Thanks botherme!
so any news about the cutoff for top 10%?

Analyzing the histogram, looks like 3 kids may have declined the invitation to the camp. 4 kids at 155, 2 at 156, 1 each at 157,158,159. 159 would be wait list number 1 for camp.

I called USABO. Top 10 percent will receive recognition certificates. They will not be listed on web site.

Wait, so what was the cutoff?
and darn…posting on website wouldn’t be that hard :frowning:
