Official 2015 Georgetown EA Pledge

Hey guys, I thought that with the deadline 3.5 weeks away, we should have our own pledge thread going. Basically, if you applied EA to Georgetown this year, add your name to the list as a promise that you will report your decision when December 15 rolls around. I'll start:

what do you mean they’re not rejecting? everyone’s getting in? yesssss. haha

No one gets rejected during the EA round in any given year. You’re either accepted or deferred to Regular Decision and that’s where people get flatly rejected.

I’m a little concerned that you didn’t know this, you do realize that Regular Decision requires more test scores than Early Action? If you’re deferred and you didn’t send in these test scores during EA, you need to supply these additional test scores or your application won’t be considered in RD.

Technically they’ll still consider it, as they only “strongly recommend” three subject tests, but you’re right, it doesn’t bode well at all. It’s a virtual requirement.

@flight23

I did know that applicants did not get rejected during EA. I thought the earlier comment was referring to both EA and RD, although I figured they were only making a joke, since it wouldn’t make sense for them to not reject any applicants.
I have sent my SAT I scores, and will send the SAT II scores once they are available. I appreciate the “concern.” Thank you for your help!

Yeah, okay, lesson learned, don’t post sarcastic comments on cc. They never get taken the right way…

@chicagograd2011

I appreciate the humor. haha I knew you couldn’t be serious. It’s all good.

I’m sorry, I was just trying to alleviate the tension of early admissions :(

^I thought it was funny. :)

haha you’re both fine. and it was funny!
flight23 seems to have a problem with me. He has been posting harsh comments on all my threads. It’s not you guys. No worries. haha
