Haven’t seen a thread yet.
Calm down buddy, you have a good 5 months.
2 more months guys. I have to do really well, got an 1840 on the first, so disappointed. This will be my second time! Hope this is good
Agreed. Shooting for a 2200+ super score and I only got a 1990 this will be my second as well
Yeah, I’m shooting for a 2250+ this time.
I had this weird problem last time in which my CR score was in the 600’s, even though it has always been 730-760+ in practice tests.
How are you guys preparing like what books are you using
Taking a prep class + using the official blue book. Hoping for an 1800+, got a 1620 on my first SAT.
Scored a low 1790 in March, hoping I can study and reach 2000+.
Math - Pwn the SAT
Writing - Ultimate guide to grammar by Erica Meltzer
Critical Reading (weakest subject) - literally made flashcards of each word in blue book i didn’t know and I’m trying Noitora’s Passages technique
received 2000 on Oct’14 SAT aiming for 2300+
Math- nothing; it’s already perfect (I’m an Asian :)) )
Writing- Barron’s 2400, Blue Book, CB online course, Silverturtle’s guide
CR- Barron’s 2400, Blue Book, CB online course, Silverturtle’s guide, Direct Hits
Prev. years papers and released tests
Focusing heavily on CR. My other two sections are fine (both over 750) so that’s all I need to bring up fortunately.
@bringit1 any tips for completing the test quickly?? (under 20 mins)
Please tell me when to use gerunds and when to use infinitives.
Yeah, I’ll be taking it. I’ve been getting, for about the last 6 months, 730-760 on the CR section on practice tests. But on the March exam, I got a 640, unfortunately. I think it must have just been a fluke, so I’m taking it a second time. Anyways, I got 770 W (11 essay), 720 M, and 640 CR, resulting in a composite of 2130 last time. Hoping for 2230+ for the June test.
Gonna be my first attempt.Really Scared :-SS
Any tips for the writing sections?
Maths is going awesome while reading is going fine too.
BTW Best of Luck Everyone
@UAS998 For the writing section I just took the writing sections out from a bunch of practice tests out and did all of them. I was getting 4-5 wrong consistently on each one so I read Silverturtle’s guide. Now I consistently get 0-2 wrong. So I’d recommend Silverturtle’s guide. It was very comprehensive and no doubt helped me.
March SAT I got a 2220, 740 on all 3 sections. Pretty disappointed but practicing hard so I can get a decent score on this one
June 2015 SAT, it’s a first attempt. I’m mostly confident about CR and Math, but I’m a bit stuck with Writing.
Anywhere i could get my essays scored?(that’s the part I’m most worried about)
Aiming for 2250+
Taking it for the second time, hoping for a 2300+. Not too worried about writing because of superscore, but really want an 800 on math this time and a 750+ on CR.
@yousefk Do you mean this?

BTW Good Luck bro and Thanks for the tip.
Any tips on how to raise math scores? Is there a book/website that’s particularly helpful?
@Morse15 just practice from the College Board Blue Book you’ll do fine its not too bad
@UAS998 Yeah that’s the guide. The writing section is the best part of that guide; the grammar portion of it is excellent if you want an overview of grammatical rules and such. It’s a bit difficult for me to understand personally but it clicks after reading it over a couple of times.
