***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!

so are we not allowed to discuss the answers after? That was like my favorite part last time haha

Did good happy

That was light work! I think it was easier than most of my practice tests. I feel good… hoping for a 2300+

I thought the essay was really hard to find examples for, what kind did yall use

I completely mispaced myself on essay and CR so I didn’t get to finish my essay and had to quickly rush through CR at the end of each section but math and writing I thought was very easy

@SaburosFather Did you have the one about listening? I talked about debates in history class and my observation that the people who speak the most often have the least to say and that great leaders like Lincoln wed eloquence and conciseness.

Did u guys feel as if u were stuck between two answers for cr?

How did you guys feel about the second CR? The passage of the letters, US History textbooks, and meeting the family? The final question about the author’s implication for what textbooks should include from the US History textbook passage was hard, which one did you guys choose?

I found the essay to be easy too

For CR:
How would the lady describe the blank spaces found in the Austen’s letters?
I said fiction is better than autobiography, but I think I’m wrong

For the adopted girl passage, the dream of her father’s death is the most vivid memory or her greatest dread?

For the brain vs reaction passage, it can be inferred that there were more bad draws than good draws or did those without frontal lobes have little physical changes in state?

For the Maui passage, was the purpose of mentioning the larger Hawaii canoes so then they could provide the guy (forget his name) with a practical advantage?

Also for same passage what did you say for how both passages had different approaches?

For writing, there was a question on jelly fish was the error “it feed in?” (Something with it)

Also there was a question after that was the answer “implied”? As the error

For math was the answer for the last parabola question 2 for a? Was that multiple choice answer a or multiple choice answer c???

Also for 7x/8 did you get a+2/3

For last math grid-in, what is the lowest value of f(x) and it has abs value of an equation, did you guys say 0? Also, for the last math MC where u had to find surface area of the pyramid what did you guys get? I just did it piece by piece and got 340 (base was 100 and each triangle was 60) but when I checked using an actual formula it says it is 360.

@AsianBoyGenius i put a for the last parabola question

@Q7heng I said that the implication was that textbooks should provide tools to deal with current events. (forget exact wording)

@AsianBoyGenius Do you remember the other options for the blank spaces question?
The dream of her father’s death is her greatest dread.

I think that it can be inferred that those without frontal lobes have little physical changes.

I think the purpose of mentioning the larger ones was to anticipate a potential objection (people could say “but they are smaller”). I don’t remember what the options were for the one about different approaches.

the error for the jellyfish was “it feed on”… it should have been “they” I think.

I said that implied was the error because it should have been implicated… I also said perspective was the error on the final MC writing question because it should have been prospective. Did other people say that?

For math I said the answer for the parabola question was 2 (A), because it had to be positive and it couldn’t be zero.

I’m pretty sure I got (a+3)/2

What did you guys have for the experimental section? I had a passage and graphs about recognizing real/imaginary people in your brain.

@jetslife08 I said it was 0 because it was absolute value. For the pyramid I got 340. (100+4(60))… but now I’m not so sure :open_mouth:

yea i got 340 too put when i put it online to solve it give 360…

@jetslife08 i put 1, because thats the lowest value when |h(x)| is 0
and the pyramid one is definitely 340

ALSO WHO GOT THAT FUNNY EXPERIMENTAL SECTION WITH LINE GRAPHS BAR GRAPHS AND SCIENCE?? I ANSWERED ALL THAT BLANK AND I WAS LAUGHING IN CLASS!

@Baikster if I recall it didn’t ask for the x value, it just asked for the lowest possible value after the equation, which would be 0.

@16elir wasn’t the |h(x)| question asking for the y value, not the x value?

Wait actually 340 is the right answer. 12 was the slant height, not the actual height… use this calculator and you’ll get 340: http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/geometry-solids/pyramid.php

@Baikster what do you mean about 1 being the lowest value when |h(x)| is 0? do you remember the wording of the problem?
