Using High school life instead of the other threads cause it's more active.

I’m thinking about trying USABO this year. I’m not 100% sure if I can handle it on top of everything else this year, though. But I’ve already taken AP Bio, and read through Campbell’s once because of taking the class.

what do you guys think of a senior starting USABO for the first time?

@emenya have u had ap bio?

@wcao9311 Yeah I took it last year. I really loved it. I had a high A year round if that means anything. I’ve also done Science UIL? Will that help?

Don’t know what Science UIL is but, AP bio means you are familiar with Campbell, so depending on how much work you put in it’s possible that anything could happen/ Just read campbell like 4 more times.

hey guys, is campbell’s all that’s needed to get you to semifinalist status? also what kinds of books are recommended for the semifinal exam?

@whenpigsfly625 that is all you need, it can even get u into camp if you can think critically.

@whenpigsfly625 I read through about 3/4 of Campbell last year and made it to semis. If you want to make it past semis, I’ve heard Raven’s Biology of Plants and Alberts are great too.

Ok this is great. I have the ninth edition that I’m reading now. Will that be good?

How far are you guys into Campbell?

0 pages. Still haven’t bought the book yet OTL
Somebody shoot me in the head.
I wonder if I can still make it to camp if I start mid october…

@boomvoom4000 .

^Same Well, I’m on chapter 4 but school is draining lol

Haven’t started studying. Research, college apps, and physics are killing me slowly. Ain’t nobody got time for this right now. (not until Christmas at least)
