So I can’t seem to find a singular thread that is completely dedicated to posting one’s stats, which colleges they applied to, and the decision they received. So, here it is. Please post your name, any info on yourself that you feel so inclined to share, your stats, extracurriculars, possibly what your “selling point” was, what your essays focused on, etc. And most importantly, which colleges you have applied to. If you have yet to receive a decision, leave it as that and update us later
Okay, so for me:
Asian female (I feel that this info does impact our decision, even if it only sways it slightly) from Southern California. Middle/upper middle class I suppose. I applied to

On a 4.0 scale: 4.0, 1 out of 651
On a 5.0 scale: 4.52, 27 out of 651 (why is my school so ridiculously nerdy GD)

MMA Kickboxing (sophomore - senior)
Varsity Wrestling (senior year) - placed 5th in the CIF-SS Northern Championships

Treasurer of Poetry Society Club
Selling point:
I don’t remember everything that I wrote my essays about. Hell, I don’t even remember writing them. However, my selling point was my adventurous spirit. When I attempt something, I learn quickly, get real good at it, then move on to the next thing. Restless spirit. I am a people person who is not afraid to step out of her comfort zone, try new things, and bring others along. I love to introduce people to new things and don’t place limitations on anybody. I guess that’s what I would bring to any campus. I am not put in a box. I am a nerd who listens to hardcore music, likes to skate, surf, and rap. I play video games and I also love to wear heels just because. I exude non-radical feminism, I suppose. Anyways, I’m wildin’. Also kind of an adrenaline junkie. Guns, skydiving, football, rugby, obstacle courses, you name it.
Awards:
None that I care too much about. Placed 5th in the CIF-SS Northern Championships for wrestling, a couple for my AP courses, Distinguished student with honors, Valedictorian, Letter of Commendation for my PSAT scores.
That’s all I can think to put right now. I’ll update my list on April 1st. Feel free to inquire.
Stay trill, stay chill
Ellie

@joshwong3 Nice work!
@joshwong3 littt @deathkid49 @beepybeetle keep me updated guys!
@beepybeetle Basically the school did not see that I had a fine art requirement, but I did have college course that counted as a fine art - CTVR II, and they rejected me. My counselor called in and the school said that that was the only reason why I was rejected. @BonJovial Will do, many of my friends have gotten into UCLA with that GPA and test score, they seem to really like students with a 34 on the ACT, but I don’t really know what’s up with that waitlist.

@Nebulart I’m surprised you got wait listed at WUSTL. What’s your first choice?
@beepybeetle What school did you accept your ROTC scholarship for?
@BonJovial Originally it was for Yale, but I transferred it away to Brown like two weeks ago.
@BonJovial my choice is mainly between Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, and Duke. I think WUSTL does yield protection so they wait list applicants who they think will go to a better school.
Rep at WUSL said if you visit campus it puts you ahead of others with similar profile.
