@PintoBean
Did you ask for a gap year?
@Meganerd2012 I said in the waitlist offer that I was interested in the gap year option, but I haven’t had the call with my counselor yet.
@PintoBean The AO is currently going through accepting gap years. Looks like you’re probably joining the Class of 2022. Congrats!
Is the class of 2021 full?
@skyflower17 According to a couple of people who spoke with their counselors once they were admitted for a gap year, yes, the Class of 2021 is full. Typically once UChicago starts in on applicants who wished to take a gap year, they are no longer focusing on the incoming class because it’s all set.
@PintoBean Congrats on being accepted to the University of Chicago!
Nice! Hope it goes well mate!
I have an email screenshot saying that the class of 2021 isn’t closed yet, everyone take a breath. Not sure if I can post it here somehow.
@Bakasworld @currylord thanks y’all, I hope it goes well… I have my AP Lit test tmw and I’m having a hard time focusing because that phone call is on my mind eek… @izboudnik o man
@PintoBean Fuck the test. You are UChicago bound. Go gorge on sweets and soda lmao
@izboudnik I hope you are not giving us false hope lol. Even if spots are open, they will probably only accept one or two more people.
@izboudnik use imgur.com or ■■■■■■■■■■■■
@izboudnik yeah I agree with @Bakasworld this better be legit.
Since UChicago’s so relutant to give out any information to the public, I doubt they’ll put something in writing.
Anyone heard any news? When will they be sending rejections?
Hope they let the waitlisted kids know the decisions soon…
@PintoBean
Did you speak to your AO yet?
I was on campus last weekend with some senior administrators and can say with a lot of confidence that the 2021 class is very full. Anything is possible with summer melt etc… but getting off the waitlist for this year looks very unlikely.
@notveryzen care to elaborate?
@notveryzen How many are they thinking will matriculate. There has been all kinds of speculation on the 2021 class size.
