Official Acceptance Page for Fall 2012!

According to what people have been posting, I believe the decisions go out by the level of impaction of each major. This leads me on to believe that architecture is probably the most impacted major that the school offers, even more so than engineering because I have yet to see or hear from someone that has gotten in for Fall '12. I could be wrong, but I’m excited/nervous at the same time!

If I get accepted into Cal Poly SLO, then my parents will force me to go there. So far, I got into Cal Poly Pomona for architecture. I do like the design centered and sustainability of CPP, and especially love how it’s right by Los Angeles. The only reason my parents want me to go to SLO is because they’re ranked higher in rankings, and to be exact, 3rd in the Design Intelligence 2010 rankings. However, I still believe that I will flourish in CPP, and I always love being the underdog (no offence CPPers). I guess I’ll have to pay a visit to SLO to decide for sure.

Sorry for my rant, but CONGRATULATIONS to EVERYONE that got in! I hope I’ll be among the greats that posted/will post on this thread. Hopefully I won’t have to mope over my first rejection! Crossing my nervous fingers!

accepted to Mechanical Engineering OOS

Accepted to Civil Engineering

I’m a prospective architecture major as well and I know of only one person who got in for architecture, but he is out of state.
A friend of mine is a third year in CPP for architecture and I know she is loving it there despite the amount of work she has (well, I’m sure any architecture major has a heavy workload). However, another friend of mine did drop out of the program altogether, though I don’t think she was passionate enough to stay with it.
In my opinion, both Cal Poly’s would be excellent in preparing us for a career in architecture…we just have some more waiting to do. (:

I’m also a prospective architecture major, and the wait has been killing me. After stalking multiple threads and hearing how people adore slo, I’ve set my heart on this school. It has an amazing architecture program, and though I haven’t visited it yet, I just know I will love being at this school. Hopefully we’ll all hear soon.
