I found out February 15th but I think I was officially accepted on February 14th
Major: RPTA, Concentration in Event Planning & Management
In/Out State: Out of State from Washington
Gen Ed/Prereqs: Completed by Spring 2013
GPA: 2.7

Side Note: I know that my GPA is horrid, I’ve had a lot of family trouble. The only problem is now I’m absolutely terrified that they will rescind. I had to take a W in a calculus class and the classes I listed on my application are 1) not in the order that I said and 2) some of them I couldn’t even get into. I’ve found GE Alternatives and none of the classes that I still need to take are Major required–I’m just afraid that all this coupled with my terrible GPA will be enough for them to change their mind.

Congrats en3mes! Mine is still saying no determination has been made. I’m really hoping they release all the rest of the transfer decisions by the end of this week

Major: Business Administration (Concentration in Accounting)
In/Out State: In
Gen Ed/Prereqs: Will be complete by Spring
GPA: 3.47

Side Notes: I’m a military veteran and a first-generation college student. I received a 3.0 GPA from a private college I attended while in the military, and I’m currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA at my California Community College. I have some work experience and extracurricular activities. I’m finishing 9 of the 10 prerequisite courses for my major this Fall and Spring semesters.

My GPA is kind of low, so those of you that don’t think yours is high enough, there’s still a chance. I applied October 1st of last year.

If they follow what it appears they’ve done in the past, they are rolling out acceptances alphabetically by major name. Looks like I’m going to be waiting a while…

No, they didn’t. They based their admission decisions completely on our applications. The terms state that we need to submit our transcripts after we receive our notification of admission. The other CSU I applied for asked for my transcript before I was accepted, so Cal Poly’s process is kind of different.

I applied as an EE major and still have not heard anything. 3.83 GPA with all prereqs done by the spring. Getting nervous now. Though it does appear most of the notifications thus far have been for freshman applicants. IDK.

I looked up the forums for last year’s admission and it looks like the majority of the transfer decisions will be released this Friday if history serves as an example

@avatar- I was accepted to East Bay, San Jose, SF, Cal Poly Pomona, and SLO. I am still waiting to hear back from SDSU. I just heard from SLO today (heard from Pomona a week ago). Yeah I am transferring from a community college.

@MStevenson Even though it should already pretty clear about the ranking of the schools you listed, just a word of advice: East Bay’s not really known for it’s computer programs. Or known at all for that matter… If you are considering going there, compare your GPA and SAT/ACT to their average and then decide. I literally had a girl in my Calc II class today ask my professor what good computers were before there was internet.

I have a question about transfer admission:

My friend applied for transfer from CC and chose computer science as his major. He did not take any CS classes at his CC though - only his GEs for transfer. He has a 3.5 GPA. Is he going to be denied because he has no CS classes?
