I purposely failed so I could take the physics series at a different college (its a long story) and the grade has since been replaced and my gpa is back to a 3.89 there was nowhere on the application to really explain myself so I was just hoping for the best. <p>Quick Question for anyone: I had more than 90 units at my community college would this make me a senior. On my app the āAcademic Levelā is indicated as a senior. If I am transferring wouldnāt I be a junior. Does this affect my admissions?</p>

<p>blueribbon191: I had over 90 units and my academic level was listed as āseniorā too. This is BS though because youāre a junior transfer even if you have over 90. It shouldnāt affect admission but who knows with Cal Poly.</p>

<p>Called up admissions, told me they had 1421 applicants with room for 81 -> 5.7%. Thereās your clue. </p>

<p>Appealing because my IB scores from High School did not show up on my application for some reason. I didnāt even realize the problem till Sac State called me asking why I had <60 units and it was too late to alter my CalPoly app.<br>
My basis for appeal is the scores that are missing did not show I had fully completed the IGETC requirements. I talked to an admission counselor and she told me to appeal so hopefully I stand a chance!</p>

<p>Itās good you had all the classes completed. My friend had the same GPA, but didnāt have the classes and didnāt get in. Heās at Sonoma State right now.</p>
<p>Itās just my thoughtā¦ I know lots of friend from pol sci. From csu to UCsā¦ Itās one of hardest major to get a jobā¦ Even my roommate is pol sci major and still doesnāt hav job yetā¦</p>
