Official acceptance thread Class of 2018.

I applied on 10/22 but everything was processed 11/6 any one know why it’s taking so long?

@sportsgurl275 my application tool a month to be processed and then another 2 months for a decision. It’s most likely their just really busy and either haven’t gotten to yours yet or haven’t posted your results yet.

Thanks for making feel a bit better I’m really nervous and I really want to get in. I feel like my stats are average so I feel kinda ok about it

We’re on the same boat. A few of my friends who applied two days after me got in in two weeks. I submitted everything on October 30 but my AP score didn’t arrived until November 5. I’m having a difficult time coping, just worries me so much. My Spartan portal went from “within 8-10 weeks” to “within 12 weeks.” I’m afraid I’m gonna get deferred.

Admissions, there are plenty of OOS students at MSU. You won’t feel out of place at all :)

Does anyone know if States give out decision during the holidays? Thank you.

Can anyone tell me something about scholarships ?? I have got only one -Presidential Study Abroad Scholarship but that I cant use bcuz it is not allowed to be used while studying at michigan campus.

Will i get another one or nope ??

I got the international student employment assistance award ($3000 annually for 2 semesters), the Global Spartan Scholarship ($1000 one time) and the Presidential Study abroad Scholarship which does not really matter to me… But it worries me how they threw 3 scholarships at me and I am only in the middle 50% or so of applicants.

What country are you from? If you’re from a less well represented country, they will often throw some scholarship money your way as an incentive to increase their international diversity.

I am from India but studying in Malaysia. I’m not sure about the indian population at MSU but I here there are quite a bit of Chinese students.

There’s a relatively large Indian population (though not nearly as large as Chinese). The Malaysian aspect could’ve been the diversity. Don’t know.

Maybe so. I do have a question though. After not getting into my other universities, at least not into the program I wanted, have decided to go with MSU. I want to know how i will receive my I-20 form. If anyone has already received theirs, could you kindly help me out. Thanks
